Summary
You're a cop whose district has a set area in the woods that you and your colleagues patrol. This area is already heavily occupied, hence why your bosses drafted up a contract of compromise with the Slenderman, which has stood for 40 years or so. This has left you alive for the entire chunk of your career. You've even come up with your own personal deal with Slenderman; it's been standing half as long as The Great Compromise.
Your job, due to these, has been easy. It's great. Missing persons cases are solved quickly and cracking down on other cases are just as smooth. It's supposed to be like this. One day, your department gets a call about a missing psych ward patient named Sam Foster, whose escape was deemed supernatural. The longer you scour for information, the more you find that trying to locate Sam just might get you killed. Do you really want to risk it? Is it even worth your life? Are you sure you should be poking into this?
