Summary
After stumbling upon a new subsection of the fandom, and reading as much of it as I could. There were lines in some of the works I read that triggered ideas in my head, so I decided to write my own.
This is my first fanfic in the Harry Potter fandom, and my second fanfic ever. This is not beta read, so I make no promises about quality.
This is my take on "What if the basilisk bite itself was plenty to trigger the inheritance?", followed up by "Since he's already had his inheritance a year before, what if the attack by a swarm of dementors at the end of Prisoner of Azkaban triggered a soul scream?"

Summary
Dobby realizes that his Mr. Harry Potter sir has come into a dragel inheritance, and something must be done.
Based on There be Dragons Harry by Scioneeris and The Soul's Scream by Cheyla. Also based on a prompt from the TBDH discord for what if Dobby took Harry to Nevarah before he could bond with Theo.
This technically diverges from TBDH at the very beginning and only references The Soul's Scream for characters (because they're perfect characters), but concepts and personalities won't necessarily be explained here if they're well defined there, so it may not make sense without them. Some things will be explained, but not all. Not all points from TBDH will be the same, and anything in the larger dragel universe not available on AO3 is not included or followed because I haven't been able to read it yet.

When Death Eaters attack the World Cup everything kinda goes crazy. Harry gets separated from his friends as they flee and ends up taking a curse that was definitely killing him. He was sure he was dying....that is until he sprouted wings, scales, claws, and fangs....
....and was his skin blue???
Or the story of how Harry learns that he isn't Harry Potter and that his parents aren't his parents. and that he isn't even human. He is a Dragel....Now he has to go to school and pretend that his entire life didn't change over the summer and on top of that, their school is hosting the Triwizard Tournament.

When Hermione Granger rewinds time from the Battle of Hogwarts to the start of Fourth Year, her short-term goal is simple: make things marginally better. Keep Harry alive. Keep Cedric alive. Maybe prevent Ron from becoming a jealous prat.
Except “simple” doesn’t account for Theodore Nott—a sharp-eyed Seer with a habit of showing up exactly when he shouldn’t—who seems determined to worm his way into Hermione’s plans… and maybe her heart.

***Or, Keith and Lance get stuck in a pod, with less than a foot between them. It would be making Keith blush like a schoolgirl, but his blood is rushing elsewhere- the massive hole in his gut he's trying to hide from Lance.
