If you couldn’t remember who you are, could you continue on?
Do you panic? Do you just sit there in silence? What kind of identity crisis does one go through without losing their very mind? Can you even begin to imagine what it would be like?
You can’t. There is not a possible way to even empathize with someone who has actually gone through it unless they go through it themselves.
But, what if there was the possibility one could? What if two men, one who had forgotten it all and one who lacked the empathy to show it, sat in a room and unraveled each other's minds slowly, helping one to remember and helping one to enjoy living. It is not planned to go the way it did, but it does.
But if the man with amnesia remembers, does he leave behind the other? Or will the supposedly anti-empathetic man get bored of feeling and leave first?
Time will tell.
