Ever since Captain took Cuttlefishes spot, she has been constantly focused on Alterna. With Cuttlefish being squidnapped again, the mysterious fuzzy ozze, the New Agent Three, and Agent's Four and Eight missing- It all was taking a tole. Summary
What you do not tell Pearl is that you had not talked to any members of the NSS in at least two years. What you also do not tell her is that there was no actual falling out - no massive arguments where you realized your ideals and theirs were utterly incompatible, no swapping of secrets that lead to a knife in the back. The rift was voluntary on your behalf. You had stopped showing up at meetings, shirked patrol, avoided Three’s increasing frustration with you until he got the message that you were something that was better off left untouched, like a beached fish rotting in the mid-July heat.
And yet, something will inevitably sucker you in again.

Eight figured their self-imposed exile had been enough to thoroughly absolve them of attachment to the NSS, but the Tower of Order drags them back kicking and screaming. When Marina assigns them the task of finding the victims of Kamabo. co to bring to the Memverse they have one particular candidate in mind, but getting him to cooperate is never as simple as just asking.
