“That's not true, I don't do that!” unable to feel his mouth through the numbness, his tongue becomes an obstacle and all his words sound jumbled up.
“I know I'm right, you were just making googly eyes at him. Why don't you take your own advice and ask him out already?”
“Can't… everything hurts.”
“Valentine's day is coming up soon, I'll find you when you're doing better so I can repay you.” she crosses over to put an apple at his bedside, then leaves.

Summary
