Surge deals with a controlling partner, fellow agents who think they're better than her(they are for the record), a cat having a mid-life crisis, having required visits with her dad(who sucks btw), a dangerous criminal with an annoyingly attractive smile, and-oh! yeah! An old school crime boss just let out of prison.

Surge and Kit wake up for the first time, but Starline's not there to meet them. In fact, no one's there to meet them. In fact, there's practically no one at all...
Sonic and Silver missed the grab for the last Chaos emerald and now the Metal Virus has all but taken over the world. Armed with powers that they don't know how to use and no memory at all, Surge and Kit must rely on each other, and the few survivors remaining to understand their place in the world...and maybe even save it.

Summary
Something different happened this time. Surge ignored Kitsunami's advice to take Starline's plan to a point and instead invited Sonic and Tails to Starline's base...to destroy them.
But something gets revealed, information about who Surge was that shouldn't have been revealed. Surge has to figure out what to do with it, what it means, and who she is.
This is my headcanon of who Surge was.
Who I think she is now.
And who I hope she becomes.
