I've been in fandom and participating in fandom spaces since I was 13 years old, in 1996. I started in musical fandom (Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis, primarily) and Disney fandom (Clopin's Secret Girlfriend #13), and have cycled through multitudinous fandom since then -- both big (Sherlock, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Teen Wolf, Steven Universe, Star Trek: Next Gen, MCU) and small (Bob's Burgers, Kim's Convenience, Taskmaster, British Panel show RPF).
Some of those are fandoms I still lurk/read in, but the fandoms I am most active in currently (end of 2025) are Psych and Red Dwarf, Red Dwarf being the only of the two I write in. I am a diehard Rimmer/Lister shipper. I love both my boys, but Lister has a special place in my heart (and the amount of gender envy he gives me is... insane).
I also read ships/fic that would be deemed "dark," "toxic," "taboo," and "problematic." It's okay if you don't. I currently don't write any, but I tag liberally and always warn for anything potentially triggering.
