    Summary

Cassidy is a mild mannered punk chick with a love of plants. One day she wakes to find that she's very much not in 'Kansas' anymore and no recollection of how she got there. Her first day is terror filled with unkind soldiers, dragons, bandits and more death than the average retail shift usually holds. She finds herself rescued and swept away to a small cottage amidst the vast unfamiliar forest that she eventually begins to view as home. Yet the simple life with a small cottage and healthy garden is interrupted rudely when the Thalmor begin to hunt for her in earnest-- throwing Cassidy and her new beau into a dangerous plot filled with deadra, dangerous spells, and strange doctors that make very bad dad jokes. The question that soon everyone is wondering-- where did you come from... and where did you go?

    Summary

As an author, the society of the Falmer has always fascinated me. Usually, the player/dragonborn is an outsider and the Falmer only serve as blade fodder in the context of the story. So, being a helpless nerd, I went through skyrim, used some console commands to make my dovakiin invisible to enemies, and watched the falmer in their caves. Despite the programming being absurdly simple, I caught some interesting interactions between falmer--things that hinted at a society. I looked at their little totems and watched how they moved within their little villages and how they treated their chaurus. They have specialized huts for alchemy and enchantment, huts for weapon-making. By god, they're capable of making advanced tools, why isn't there more on them???
I wish that the vanilla game had offered these creatures more leniency, had allowed the falmer to have agency beyond "well, they used to be snow elves, how tragic." They've lived in the caves, they've survived for centuries, they have a society of their own!

Here is my interpretation of what could have been.
