Tempests pov from Racing for the Stars by ThatTatoe, I get a bit silly with this one because I cannot handle not traumatising my characters.
"The air hummed with a familiar thrum of excitement. The feel of heart rates rising, music blaring, night air singing. The other car shot past and the peace broke finally like a cresting wave. Sunny grinned, drunk on the thrill as the car jolted forward.
“Isn’t that-” my partner said, voice only barely giving away the shock of the acceleration. I looked to him in that moment, a flicker of uncertainty on his face. Was I... wrong? Was this a bad idea?
“Lonan, aka the guy who drove off a building, so you two better hold the fuck on cause he’s making the track tonight.”
Wild. That girl was wild."
For a little backstory, in canon Tempest had 4 "siblings" in their homeworld, who they are pretty sure are dead even if they didnt see them die before being taken by the village. oopsies! they were all in a traveling band together (here comes my Yaelokre references-).

“What do they look like?” Tempest asked suddenly
“The stars?” Samuel said with a huffed out laugh. “What do you mean?”
“Tell me about them.”
Samuel sat up to look at Tempest properly.
“You.. can’t see them?”
“Not well. These shitty eyes can’t seem to focus on things that are far away. Another side effect of being an abomination I suppose.”
“Hah well, what does that make me? I suppose we are both abominations then.”(Tempest can’t sleep, Samuel comes over to find out why)
