    Summary

    Voyager encounters a strange nebula and Chakotay has preminitions about a foreign being. However, Janeway is about to investigate the nebula and the ship crashes on a class M planet hidden in there. Voyager suffers heavy damage and the crew is stranded. It turns out that there is an alien being that is not well-disposed towards the crew and tries to kill them. Chakotay sacrifices himself and in return the entity repair the ship and let Voyager leave.
    Janeway is devastated by learning that Chakotay is gone forever and Ayala, who had to promise Chakotay to comfort her emotionally and become a friend and maybe more, tries everything to make her feel better.
