Summary
Lewis watches Nico’s fragile body begins to convulse. His feet hit the floor, a rhythmic, macabre noise that is permanently engraved in his memory. Nico’s blood slowly runs down Lewis’s face until it reaches the corner of his mouth. It tastes like iron.
He is going to die, Lewis thinks. The voice in his head is the only sound left in the world.
And the last thing he said to Nico was to disappear from his life.
