Summary
A father is the constant reminder of safety. Its the person that you should always have there. The one who creates the healthy environment for you as you grow up. But, James cannot be a father if he is dead. A godfather has to be hand-chosen. Its an uncle that you have a deeper connection with. The one whose there when your father is absent. But, when there's no father, Sirius is simply a father figure. A traitor is a show of disloyalty and cowardice. Its a disease that lurks within every friendship that you will ever make. The one who will always ruin the happiest of moments. But, deep down, it was just a scared little kid called Peter. An uncle will always be there. Its a familiar face, not quite a godfather but not quite a stranger. The one who would always let you break a rule as long as it made you happy. But, it will never be Uncle Moony. Time is relative. Mostly proven - not fully, but enough to believe it. One story, another. Similar in a thousand ways. Different in a million. One was full of happy childhoods. The other, full of an adulthood and children that the first never lived long enough to see. Shame they would never live long enough to see it.
