This one pairs denial with a very bad sense of timing.Set just before Punk Hazard, the Straw Hats dock on Kyoso Island and stumble into a local tradition that should absolutely come with more warning labels: a high risk “Dynamic Race” designed to pair alphas and omegas—whether they’re ready or not.
Zoro enters for simple reasons: meat for his captain, money for his booze, and the need to reset his body after two years of suppressants. What he doesn’t expect is how the race begins to unsettle the crew, the island, and most dangerously, Sanji—whose behavior has been off ever since Sabaody, and is getting harder to ignore.
As preparations unfold, instincts sharpen, tempers flare, and familiar bickering starts to feel charged in ways neither swordsman nor cook wants to acknowledge. Between a maze that feeds on fear, rivals who circle too close, and a bond that refuses to stay theoretical, Zoro and Sanji are dragged toward a finish line neither of them planned to cross.
