Steve Harrington knew he was different from a very young age. Not because of his infatuation with his best friend from a young age, which none of his male peers seemed to have towards their male friends. Not because he seemed to be far more behind in reading than any of his friends. Not even because of his parents reoccurring absences, dating as far back as he could remember.
Steve Harrington knew he was different because he saw things no one else could. And no one could know about it, ever.

a fic in which steve can see the "strings of fate", which is cool in theory, until his powers randomly start getting stronger, therefore more persistent and overstimulating, and he's trying desperately to keep it a secret. add a little steddie as well because why not.
