They stood in silence for a beat. Just two tired hearts in hoodies under a blinking exit sign meant to mark the way out – when really, what they both needed was a way back in. Back to themselves. “I gotta take another shower. Like right now”, Tyler finally croaked, voice hoarse from another evening of singing his heart out. Josh smiled gently. “Don’t drown.” Tyler offered a tiny, crooked smile as well before disappearing towards the elevators. Josh watched him go, the slump in his shoulders giving everything away.
