    Roy shook his head, “Wilson is dead. It was someone else.”
    “you could tell?” Dinah asked.
    “he had one eye too many.” Roy snorted, “and a bit more sass, too. Fought differently as well, he was clearly trained by Wilson, but he’s got a different body type and build, and he uses acrobatic moves,” Roy explained, then took a deep breath, “but he said something weird.”
    ...
    “he said… he said that he was disappointed the league hadn’t managed to get Conner out yet.”


     

     


    Dick doesn't know what Conner means when he says he's 'sending someone his way', but it's not like the mission he just finished up was particularly difficult so he's okay with waiting around a few hours to find out what Conner cares enough about to risk Lex Luthor's wrath.
    He was not expecting to find Wally West. Especially seeing as the speedster in question has been dead for years.
    Although, in that regard, Dick really can't judge.

    “Where is he?” Batman growls. Tim suppresses a shudder.

    “Where is who?” Deathstroke replies, almost smugly. Tim knew it wouldn’t be that easy. He’s sure Batman knows it too, but it’s still frustrating. This isn’t like the Joker — not like Jason. There’s no body. There’s nothing. No trace of Batman’s former protégé to signal whether he’s alive or dead, safe and healthy or being abused and tortured. Nothing to go on but the suspicions of the now disbanded Titans and Batman’s own gut instinct.

    “Where is Robin?”

    “He’s right there, isn’t he?” Deathstroke jerks his head in Tim’s direction, arms still constrained to his sides. Tim notices he has resumed fighting the straitjacket, subtly testing its limits as they talk.

    “Where is Dick Grayson?”

    The security camera hanging from the wall split down the middle, a rubber bullet embedded in the glass screen.

    Jason blinked. Every camera was shattered. One looked to have caved in with the rest of that portion of the ceiling, another studded with shuriken. He tightened his grip on his blades. There weren’t many good reasons why a mercenary would want to rid all sources of evidence in a closed environment.

    Deathstroke kept his right hand on the trigger as his left messed with his helmet’s straps. He unclicked something, and in one angry jerk, tugged off his mask.

    The most emo version of Dick Grayson post-teenage angst era glared at him, empty look in his eyes and empty eye.

    or, a universe where Dick Grayson is Deathstroke brushes against a universe where he is most definitely not. By accident, supposedly, but Jason knows better than to take that at face value.
