“His lawyer or a lawyer?” Harry clarifies.
“His lawyer,” Marianne tells him. “Seems like Mr. Tomlinson has spent the better part of the last decade running around trying to convince people he's a psychic. Got enough brains to have an attorney on speed dial, seems like.”

Summary
Max has been staring at those three words for what seems like hours.
In any other situation, or to any other person, those three words would look perfectly normal. Boring, in fact.
Except this situation was different.
Because the words looking up at Max’s startled face from the screen of his phone sparked such a mixture of emotions in him that it would take another whole hour to try and understand them.

Summary
The entire night, Oscar can tell–Max has been practically eye-fucking Charles. It’s that dress, for sure, but also–the fact that she’s been absolutely clueless about the flirting and doesn’t seem to notice the effect she’s having on him.
Oscar decides to spice things up, add a little more pepper to this meal. It’s feeling stale. So, he says: “You like Charles.”
Max chokes on his pasta, coughs for about 14 seconds, before sloshing some water in his mouth and swallowing it.
“Of course not.”
“Mate, it’s pretty obvious. You’ve practically been eye-fucking her the whole night.” Oscar replies.
“I have not!”
Both Lando and Oscar stare at him blankly until he caves just a few seconds later.
“Fine. I like Charles.”
