Summary
“You’re remarkably relaxed for someone spending time with a possessed man. Most would have turned and run for the hills long before now. Maker, most wouldn’t have come to check on me.”
“Well, you’re the most handsome abomination I’ve met in a long time.”
“Ha! Have you met many abominations you found attractive?”
“A few, here and there. But they pale in comparison to you.”
________________
A slow-burn fanfiction about my canon Hawke--named Arthur-- and his complicated relationship with Anders. This follows the events of Dragon Age 2 while expanding and adding scenes between acts. I take a lot of creative liberties with this because I do believe what we saw in game was Varric's version of the events, so there will be some changes from the game! I try to keep the in-game scenes to a minimum because I know that might not be fun to read. Thank you so much for checking this out! <3

Summary
The Nautiloid is not the first time Aera Vineheart has been kidnapped and held captive, nor is it the first time she's been forced to endure changes to her body that she didn't want. One moment she was in Baldur's Gate, conversing with a kind, albeit slightly arrogant wizard, and the next she's aboard a tentacled ship, being infected with a Mind Flayer Tadpole. But this is only the beginning. When her and some allied strangers manage to crash land the ship on an unknown beach in Faerun, they quickly realize they don't have much time before they become the very monster who infected them. Luckily, the wizard she'd become acquainted with was taken too, and he agrees to travel with her.
As their journey continues, friendships form, old flings show up, and new feelings begin to emerge. Gale of Waterdeep isn't worth the trouble, is he? He's not worth risking her heart for, especially when he's on a mission to sacrifice himself for his Goddess, a Goddess he still seems to feel for. He doesn't care for her.
Or at least, that's what Aera tries to tell herself.
