He eventually finds his niche in this corner of the Apple Ecosystem, but it changes his perspective on work/life balance considerably.
(The story has some humor in it, but I think it winds up being more melancholy than humorous).

The lack of further demon attacks is less help than she'd like, when faced with the death and injury that remain, the disruption to industry and commerce, and people's struggles with faith. Not to mention the increasing presence of outskirters in and around the town.
