Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?—
If you ask James how he’s doing, he’s gonna tell you he’s perfectly fine. Probably never been better. You’re gonna watch him walk by the hallways and think he’s got everything figured out. All the admiring eyes watching him go like he’s the personification of a god, always cheerful and kind hearted and of course nothing bad ever happens to him, right?
Except, well, Regulus Black has happened to him. And now James’ heart is sinking while he covers all up with a smile that quite never reaches his eyes.
He lost him, somehow. But he’s making a comeback, knowing Regulus’ heart is silently still reserved for him.
