   Summary

   England, 1837: Viserys Targaryen, Duke of Dragonstone, has died without male heirs. The entire Targaryen family gathers for the reading of Viserys’s will, with the exception of Rhaenyra, the rebellious daughter who fled to America amid scandal with a wealthy entrepreneur. Over Alicent, Viserys's widow, looms the shadow of Daemon Targaryen, Viserys’s younger brother, the next Duke of Dragonstone and new master of her fate. But things do not always go as expected.
