Chan’s grip of Felix’s jaw tightens, their faces inches apart and she speaks low enough for only Felix to hear, “keep it up. I fucking dare you.” There’s a kind of twisted amusement in her voice that tells Felix just how close she’s pushing her.
“Right,” Felix flashes a wicked grin, nose scrunching as she does, “‘cause you’re just so scary, huh?”
Chan simply smiles, a soft ‘hm’ leaving her throat as she drops Felix’s face.

Summary
Chan sets out fresh clothes for Felix after changing his own, then kisses him on the head and leaves downstairs to start a kettle and soak Felix’s dirty clothes. Felix takes his time washing up, but Chan doesn’t mind waiting as it yields him more time to work the blood stains out of the white fabric. He wishes he would have swayed him into wearing a black outfit, or at least his cloak to preserve his clothes, but he also didn’t anticipate Felix to have had such a seemingly feral reaction to the mere taste of blood— or maybe Chan had grown far too used to it to understand.
