  Summary

  She had begged him to stay. He refused, but promised to return to her.

  He begged her to run. Told her the Gap would burn, that it was suicide to stay. But she only smiled, kissed his hand like it was a prayer, and said she knew.

  Now the flames rise and the world they built together crumbles to ash — the home, the laughter, the future that would never come to pass.

  She stayed.
  He left.
  And the fire took everything.
