He paused slightly, “I thought I saw Song Lan at work today”. Xingchen could see through the faint haze of lavender purple water, that he was picking at the loose skin on his thumb.
For Xue Yang to see Song Lan at work wasn’t unusual, Xue Yang worked in the morgue as a pathologist at their city’s largest hospital, Song Lan’s work was not too far from there so he would often go and drop off lunch for Xue Yang when things got too hectic. But Song Lan had been on a business trip for the past week and wasn’t coming back till tomorrow evening.
