Summary
Barty and James have been friends since they were kids and their fathers worked for the ministry. When James goes off to Hogwarts the two grow apart. They almost never talk after Barty was sorted into Slytherin along with Regulus Black, James' best friend, Sirius', younger brother. Sirius insists that they shouldn't speak to the Slytherins, especially his brother's friend group.
But then James walks into his 5th year potions class and discovers Barty sitting at his table. They start talking and becoming friends again, little do they know, soon, shit hits the fan.
