Summary
John is run over by a speeding car. This accident prompts Sherlock and John to reflect on what they need to do to live a happy life, even beyond marriage and a normal life
From the book:
"What is it John?" He asked him, carefully observing his friend's face. John's gaze was fixed, lost in the eyes of the man in front of him. Even if he had wanted to say something, he could not, because he was drowning in the blue of those eyes. He wanted to drown and forget all his problems. "John?" Sherlock repeated as he lightly shook the doctor's shoulder. As if moved by that touch, John moved closer to Sherlock. He was sinking and had no desire to resurface. "John," breathed the detective just inches from the doctor's lips.

"Cosa c'è John?" Gli chiese osservando attentamente il viso dell'amico. John aveva lo sguardo fisso, perso negli occhi dell'uomo che aveva davanti. Anche se avesse voluto dire qualcosa, non avrebbe potuto, perché stava annegando nell'azzurro di quegli occhi. Lui voleva annegare e dimenticare tutti i suoi problemi. "John?" Ripetè Sherlock mentre scuoteva leggermente la spalla del dottore. Come smosso da quel tocco, John si avvicinò maggiormente a Sherlock. Stava affondando e non aveva alcuna voglia di riemergere in superficie. "John" soffiò il detective a pochi centimetri dalle labbra del dottore.
