There were a plethora of firsts that the Cat King had brought to Edwin over the months that they had been acquainted with each other. Most importantly perhaps being the first breath of self-acceptance, the first moment that the shame around his sexuality ebbed away, the first time that he felt desire without the guilt that once accompanied.
"I like your secret parts." he had said, leaning close as Edwin's gaze darted between his eyes and his lips.
Edwin liked his secret parts as well, and they were not secret anymore. Not to those who cared for him, and certainly not to the Cat King.
Their parting had been something sweet and tentative, something tinged with grief, but also with longing and with the quiet promise of more.
