    They really should have used protection when they had sex during Miles's first heat. But then again, if they hadn't been so drugged up on a combination of pheromones and alien jellyfish as to forget about condoms, they definitely wouldn't have had sex in the first place.

    But they did. And it has consequences.

    Miles already knows there's no choice he can make that somebody won't hurt from it.

    Is it selfish not to choose the one that will only hurt him?
