Summary

Summary
Itadori Yuuji and Fushiguro Megumi are childhood best friends since they were small, right up until Itadori's grandfather passes away and he is taken by the state and put into the custody of his half-brother, Ryoumen Sukuna. The half-brother Megumi was unaware even existed. Already dealing with abandonment from his own father, Toji, and he and his sister's adoption by Gojo Satoru, he has no choice but to move on with his life after Itadori's disappearance from Sendai to the heart of Tokyo.
That is until years later, by chance, they are reunited at university and forced to make amends. Megumi grapples with new friends and a struggle to fit in at school but becomes increasingly aware of the secrets lying behind Itadori's constant smile. Rekindled friendship blossoms into something deeper as they both find the strength to confide in each other after years of absence.

Jason Todd grew up with a fundamental fear of being seen. Not in the sense of shyness, but in the sense of shame. He supposed, if he wished to contemplate the fear’s origins, he might start where most tragedies do:
The house he grew up in.
Where the act of wanting was as good as a death sentence to that desire.
He supposed he might even make an argument for the statement “people become what they are called”. He thinks that might have some merit, looking back.
What he fears most, (like most other people), is how obvious it is to others. The fear itself.

Summary
The first body Itadori Yuuji ever sees as a rookie homicide detective is already cooling in a Shibuya alley when he ducks under the tape. He’s supposed to be learning how not to contaminate a crime scene; instead he finds himself assigned to Fushiguro Megumi, a permanently sleep-deprived detective with an emotional support scowl, and dragged into Gojo Satoru’s chaotic little corner of the Shibuya Homicide Unit.
As a string of neatly executed salaryman murders closes in around them, Yuuji tries to prove he belongs in a world of blood, paperwork, and bad coffee—while his overprotective not-quite-brother Chousou watches uneasily from the edges of the law.
Across the river, Getou Suguru is building something out of middlemen and dead accountants, watching the news and the man he used to stand beside. Six years after everything between them shattered, Gojo and Geto find themselves on opposite sides of the same case again—this time with new kids caught in the crossfire.
