Aki was surprised to see it had even taken three beers to get Denji to the point he was now. He wasn’t sure the boy had ever tasted alcohol before this evening, it must have been all the food he’d shoved down his throat once he’d been assured he wouldn’t get the bill.
Before said charge could faceplant into his fried chicken, Aki gently pushed Denji’s face out of its target. It plunked down safely onto the table instead.
“Ok,” Aki spoke. “I think it’s time we leave.”
