it's only january but this already feels like my favorite fic of 2026 ,,, sucked me in and vomited me back out after having thoroughly eroded my emotions, psyche and spirit. reading this fic is a fever dream bc it captures the headspace and experience of mental instability (depression especially) so well, i'm left a bit speechless

characterization of william is so perfect and absolutely insane ?? he is a manipulative sexyman sure, but also he's pathetic in a way that's very grounded and Very embarassing and i'm morbidly obsessed. amazing michael whump. i fucking love the author's ability to make me uncomfortable (rare), genuinely some of the best works i've read
