Work Text:

Jungkook has heard many rumors about the town he just moved to but the scariest of them all has to be about the forest, which lurks just right outside town. It’s ominous atmosphere draws many daredevils and adventurous spirits but they all leave with a scary story to tell and the promise to never return. It spooks the people of the town enough to send out warnings whenever the sun has almost set. If you are wandering the streets at night by yourself, it’s a given that something sinister will come for you.

The stories of the townsfolk always consist of the strange creatures that reside there. Their magical powers gives them an advantage over the weak who never stand a chance. When the sun has set and there is no light to guide the way, it is said you will later stare into the blood red eyes of the heartless witch that rules over the forest and never see again. The townsfolk are always scared of that more than anything. Not the creatures, not the darkness, not the sense of something evil watching, but the owner of the red eyes who steals your own eyes.

Everything about the forest sent tremors down Jungkook’s spine which is why, unlike his fellow college classmates, he tended to stay away from the forest at all times. Even during the daytime. His classmates threw plenty of parties and every now and then were located within the forest. It was their way of deciding who was brave enough to hang out with them. In Jungkook’s mind, it was all stupid. Especially since the year before at one of their famed parties, a boy with a bright future vanished from the sight and hasn’t been seen since. Jungkook had previously spoken to the boy, Kim Namjoon, and was mortified at the loss of him. He had the brightest mind anyone would ever see and he couldn’t help but pray for his safety every time the forest was mentioned.

And it was mentioned at least three times throughout his day.

The first time when he wakes up and his roommate, Park Jimin, brings Kim Namjoon’s friend, Kim Seokjin, over for breakfast. The routine is always the same; Seokjin makes breakfast, Jimin and Jungkook eat in awkward silence, Seokjin stares off into space, and Jimin tries to get Seokjin to smile, and to no avail. Seokjin hasn’t spoken a word since Namjoon’s disappearance and it was clear to the both of them that he never will until he returns home safely. Jimin would try to plan a time to look for him in the forest only for Seokjin to throw him a terrified look. Every time Jimin tried to press the issue, Seokjin would break into tears. He didn’t want to lose anyone else he loved.

The second time when his dance teacher, Mr. Song would give everyone a daily update on what was going on in the town and always hesitate when he would report that Namjoon has yet to be found. It was obvious that Namjoon was not only loved by his friends, but loved by his teachers too. Mr. Song always talked about how even though Namjoon was a little clumsy and a little stiff, he preserved in dance because it was his weakness. Everyone admired Namjoon for not giving up.

The third time when he sits in his biology class and Suho, famed party thrower, would talk about his future party which always took place on the weekend. Suho was a recent daredevil. Before him was the famous linguist Jackson Wang, who had been very close with Namjoon. He was also the one who had roped him into going to the infamous party. After that, Jackson had stopped throwing parties and had spiraled into depression. It was rumored that a certain Mark Tuan, psychologist major, had been helping him with more than just being a person to talk to. Many people were shocked when Mark and Jackson had been discovered walking in town hand in hand. It was a relief to know that Jackson’s mental health was no longer at a dangerous tipping point.

If only they could say the same for Seokjin.

Jungkook’s day had gone the same as every day and he often found himself wishing for some sort of difference in his life or even more for his old life back. With the happy family he used to be with. Seokjin, Namjoon, and Jimin all eating the delicious food made from the skilled hands of Seokjin, the random philosophical questions from Namjoon that got everyone thinking, and the warm smiles and massages from Jimin. It was heaven on earth.

Thinking about it made Jungkook want to cry and there was no way in hell he was going to break down in front of Jimin when he already had to comfort Seokjin. So Jungkook sucked in a shaky breath, grabbed his jacket, and made his way to the front door.

“Kookie! It’s almost dark, where are you going?” Jimin shrieked from the couch.

“Just out. I need some air.” And with that, Jungkook left the dorm and rushed out into the outdoors, feeling the cold breeze of dusk wash over him. There was snow on the ground from the earlier snowfall of the day and Jungkook couldn’t help but enjoy it. It had felt so hot in the dorm and he was so relieved to be gone but he couldn’t help but feel guilty. Jimin was probably worried about him, struggling between choosing to go find Jungkook or stay with Seokjin. Knowing Jimin, he would choose Seokjin simply because he couldn’t be trusted to stay by himself. Not without consequence of course, the minute Jungkook returned home he knew Jimin would tear him a new one.

As the last light of the sun disappeared, Jungkook noticed it was much more colder, the wind biting at his face, and how far away he was from home. He was so lost in thought that he had no idea where he was going and now he found himself in the very place he least wanted to be in.

The forest.

Jungkook was so stunned he barely registered the snapping of branches from behind him. He whirled around hoping to face a harmless bunny only to find three tall broad men sneering at him with malice.

“Well well, what brings you here at this hour, all alone?” The tallest of the men steps forward and Jungkook practically vomits. He reeked of alcohol and it was so frighteningly obvious that they were all drunk.

“W-what do you want?” Jungkook stutters in what he wishes was just his body’s response to the freezing cold. The tall man gets closer and Jungkook takes a step back, his heart pounding furiously in his chest.

“Your money.” The guy growls in order. Jungkook’s hands are trembling too much for them not to notice but he reaches into his jacket pocket for his wallet hoping to escape with his life when to his horror, he discovers his pocket empty. He had left his wallet back at home.

“I’m sorry, b-but I don’t have any m-money,” Jungkook stammers ready to break into tears, but he keeps himself steady in order for them not to see him any more vulnerable than he already is.

The tall man yells in anger, “Liar! Search him boys.” The two men approach him fast with a crack of their knuckles and Jungkook almost whimpers in alarm. Their hands begin to grab all over his body searching for something he didn’t have.

“Nothing, Boss.” The two men report. The tall man scowls in disgust and then makes his way towards Jungkook, forcefully grabbing his chin. He stopped breathing when the man’s nasty breath washed over his face.

“You know what we do to people who don’t have what we want?” The man pauses, almost as if he expects Jungkook to answer. “We punish them. Go ahead, boys.”

And that’s when Jungkook began to wish he had never left the safety of his home. The two men pushed him to the ground. While one kicked, the other punched. All over his face, his arms, his chest, his legs. He was quite aware of all the blood that covered him but the two men continued. After one extremely harsh kick to his chest, Jungkook felt his rib break and that’s when he let out the most painful scream.

“Quiet, bitch!” And the punches and the kicks became much more aggressive. Everything he had felt before seemed to multiply by ten and after what seemed like hours he was wishing for death.

Perhaps he would see Namjoon.

Then it stopped.

It was so sudden that Jungkook had to wonder if perhaps he was dead, but only to realize he wasn’t when he heard the voice of the tall man.

“Let’s get the fuck out of here! Run!”

The rushed footsteps of the fleeing men had Jungkook confused as to what would have gotten them to leave so suddenly. Then it occurred to him that they must have seen something in the forest to have scared them off. The possibility itself also had Jungkook worried but then he remembered that he was about to die anyways and it wasn’t going to matter anymore.

A soothing warmth fell upon his head and Jungkook wanted to sigh in relief. The feeling was welcomed and Jungkook was bracing himself for the sweet release of death.

“Shh, it’s okay sweetheart. I’ve got you,” A deep voice pierced through Jungkook’s mind. “Poor thing, you’ve got blood everywhere. It’s okay, I’ll take care of you. You’ll feel better soon. Can you open your eyes for me?”

Jungkook willed himself to open his eyes, which was much tougher than it seemed only to find blood red eyes stare into his own. If Jungkook hadn’t been injured, he was sure he would be running for the hills by now, but he couldn’t find it in himself to care too much.

“Are you going to steal my sight?” Jungkook rasped. The man broke into a soft smile and reached to pet Jungkook’s hair, which was probably wild and unkempt from the previous events that had taken place.

“Is that what you humans fear? No, I’m not here to do that.”

“Then what?”

“Shh, don’t worry. I’m going to help you.”

Jungkook smiled, “You don’t have to. I’m hoping to see my friend again. I miss him terribly.”

A bright beam of red light emerged from the man’s hand on Jungkook’s head. Immediately Jungkook felt drowsy.

“Oh? What was his name?” The man rubbed his hand softly throughout his hair.

“Kim Namjoon. He was my friend.” Jungkook felt his eyes closing against his will. The man was oddly beautiful and Jungkook wanted to keep looking at him.

The last thing he hears before falling asleep is, “I might be able to help you with that.” Jungkook sincerely hopes the beautiful man with strange eyes isn’t lying.

*****

When Jungkook wakes he doesn’t remember what happened at first and stares around the unfamiliar room in confusion. He is laying on a large bed with the softest sheets he’s ever touched and he contemplates going back to sleep but opts out in exchange for investigating the room even more. There is an oak wood shelf next to the bed with plenty of books to hold and sitting on top is a basic but rather beautiful looking blue lamp. On the right wall was a closet door and next to that was what Jungkook assumed to be a bathroom. Other than that, the room was bare and Jungkook definitely didn’t remember this room.

Then the door straight in front of him opens and in steps the man with the strange red eyes and suddenly Jungkook has no trouble recalling what had happened to him. The man locks eyes with him and his face lights up a little in what he thought to be relief.

“You’re awake,” The man stated. He definitely remembered that voice, that voice that had soothingly reassured him back in the forest when Jungkook was minutes away from death. He attempted to sit up so he could get a better look at him when a sharp pang in his ribs screamed for him not to. The man quickly came rushing to his side to help him lay back down.

“Easy there, sweetheart, you’re alright.”

“Am I okay?” Jungkook asked hoping to be able to start getting all his questions answered. The man tucked the soft covers around his frail body before reaching to pet his hair. He wondered if the man really liked his hair.

“You’re okay. Broke two ribs and dislocated your left shoulder, bruises all over your body, and there was internal bleeding, but my magic was able to heal you. Although you’ll find I still put you arm in a sling. I’m still worn out from fixing all of what was going on internally, I hope you don’t mind.”

“M-magic?” Jungkook stammers in surprise. The man’s movement on his hair falters for a little bit before resuming.

“That’s what you’re focusing on? Not the near death experience, or the fact that you’re in a stranger’s house, but my magic? You’re strange, sweetheart.” The man’s hand leaves his hair only for a bright red light, the same from the forest, to surround his hand. A bowl of steaming soup suddenly appears and the man sets it beside him on the shelf. Jungkook’s eyes widen in surprise.

“How d-did you do that?”

The man smiles down softly at him, “I’m a witch.”

“A witch?”

“Yes, we exist. Although most of us aren’t as evil as your folklore make us out to be.”

“Umm, am I dreaming?” Jungkook whispers. The man’s eyes soften with sympathy.

“I know this is a lot to take in, but you’re not dreaming. You were in the forest when you were attacked by three men who nearly beat you to death, I scared them away and took you back to my house to fix you up. And here you are. I promise I’m not going to hurt you and anytime you feel uncomfortable just let me know. Just let me care for you until you’re all healed up, yeah?” The man’s voice was really soft and Jungkook struggled not to give in right there but he wasn’t quite sure if he could trust him just yet.

“I- well it’s just that my friend is probably worried about me and I should probably go home to tell him I’m okay.” Jungkook was worried that the man would get mad and braced himself for any backlash, only to receive none.

“I understand. At least sleep on it. I can contact your friend for you?” The man offered. Jungkook liked the sound of it. Everything about him made Jungkook feel safe and even though he felt it was because the man had magic, he didn’t care.

“Y-yeah, that sounds good I think. I’m pretty tired.” Jungkook said as his eyes drooped. The man’s hand comes back to his hair and Jungkook sighs in relaxation.

“Do you want some soup before you sleep? I’m sure you’re hungry.” Jungkook’s eyes immediately pop open as his stomach growls. The man chuckles and reaches over to get the bowl of soup from the shelf and then summons a tray using his magic. He sets the tray on the shelf again and comes back to slowly help Jungkook sit up.

Jungkook grimaces in pain and the man worriedly pats his good shoulder.

“Are you okay?” He asks. Jungkook swallows a whimper for his response.

“Yeah, I’m fine.”

The man stares at him suspiciously before setting the tray on Jungkook’s lap.

“Chicken noodle, eat up.”

Jungkook takes a bite and immediately moans at the delicacy, the warm buttery broth and noodles soothing his throat and settling in his stomach. The chicken offered him something to chew on and Jungkook was certainly not let down as the chicken was chewy and savory in his mouth.

“This is perfect, thank you.” Jungkook said with his mouth full of soup. Unlike most people who would see that as disgusting, the man smiled.

“I’m glad.”

Jungkook finished up rather quickly despite the man telling him to slow down and began to immediately nod off. The man shook his right shoulder gently to ask for the number of his friend. He gladly rattled off the numbers and the man sent him a text explaining the situation, without the witch part, and sending his location. Jimin had called the man and demanded to speak to Jungkook, who seemed rather nervous to deal with his friends wrath.

“JEON JUNGKOOK! YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE, HOW COULD YOU GO INTO THE FOREST YOU DUMBASS!” Jimin yelled through the phone.

“I’m sorry Jimin hyung, I just needed to get out of there.”

“And was it worth it? Was it worth getting mugged? You crazy bastard,” He raved into the phone.

“I’m really sorry. It’s just that it’s hard to be home right now,” Jungkook nearly cried into the phone.

Jimin sighed and Jungkook could feel his stress.

“I know it’s not easy, but Seokjin hyung needs us now more than ever.”

“I know that but just because Namjoon hyung goes missing doesn’t mean he can shut down and just stop living. It’s it what he would want.”

The man glanced over at Jungkook wearing a grim look on his face.

“You’re telling that to the wrong person,” Jimin points out. “Anyways I’ll come get you in the morning. I didn’t know anyone lived in the forest.”

“Yeah, neither did I. I’ll see you tomorrow hyung.” And Jungkook hangs up, handing the phone back to the man.

“Everything okay?” The man asked

“Mmhmm. Jimin hyung is going to pick me up tomorrow morning. Thank you for letting me call him.”

“No problem. Anything you need, just ask.”

“Mm okay,” Jungkook replied sleepily, laying down on the soft bed.

“Sleep well, sweetheart.”

“Jungkook.”

“What?”

“My name, Jeon Jungkook,” He mumbled, eyes closing. He felt a hand in his hair, smoothing it backwards. The effect was calming and Jungkook sighed in content. He didn’t understand why he felt so comfortable around the man but at this moment, he didn’t want to question anything.

“Min Yoongi. It’s nice to meet you, Jungkook. Sleep well.” And Jungkook happily slips into unconsciousness with Min Yoongi running his hand through his hair.

Jungkook was in the state of dreaming and reality when he finally opened his eyes to see the person he longed to see the most.

Namjoon.

“Hyung?” Jungkook mumbled sleepily. He felt Namjoon take his right hand in his.

“Hey Kook. I missed you.” Namjoon’s voice was the same as he remembered. Deep and gruff but held so much warmth. Jungkook was sure that the witch had something to do with Jungkook’s first lucid dream.

“We missed you. Seokjin hyung the most. Hasn’t spoken a word since you died.” He felt Namjoon stiffen at what he thought was the mention of Seokjin only to hear him burst out laughing in utter delight.

“I’m here holding your hand and you think I died? Yoongi hyung must have sedated you good.” Jungkook was absolutely confused. Why would Namjoon take so much offense to his death? How did he know Yoongi? Did Yoongi try to save him or-

This is real.

“Namjoon hyung?” Jungkook sat up in shock only for a sharp pang to hit his ribcage. He cried out in pain.

“Easy! You’re still injured, stupid!”

Jungkook definitely couldn’t have dreamed that.

“Is everything alright?” A voice sounded from behind Namjoon. He let go of Jungkook’s hand and stepped away to reveal Yoongi in the doorway to the bedroom.

“The idiot sat up too quickly,” Namjoon informed. Yoongi approached Jungkook’s side and knelt to look him in the eye. Jungkook was stunned by how beautiful Yoongi was. His pale skin glowed and gave him an ethereal look, his blonde hair swept over his forehead with the sort of messy that managed to be so good looking at the same time, his lean body showed that many might underestimate his abilities, and the blood red eyes that tied everything together and made everything about him scream mystery. Yoongi radiated power and Jungkook found it mouthwatering, although he would be embarrassed to admit that.

“Are you okay?” Yoongi spoke softly and Jungkook had to fight back a whimper. He felt so calm around him and he just wanted to fall back into the sheets and listen to his voice all day, but the pain in his right side was hard to ignore and he was hoping Yoongi would be able to help.

“I think,” Jungkook breathed shakily. Yoongi hummed in acknowledgement before bringing his hand under Jungkook’s shirt and settling on his ribs.

“Does it hurt?” Yoongi asked, pressing down on his ribcage gently. Jungkook froze at the feeling of his hands in such a vulnerable place and he swallowed a moan in the back of his throat.

“Too much,” Jungkook admitted. “Don’t think I won’t get up and punch you right now for leaving and never telling us where you were!” He yelled towards Namjoon.

“I know you’re upset but listen to my sid-“

“Your side? No, you listen to our side! You left us all alone. Seokjin hyung doesn’t speak, doesn’t eat, doesn’t live, and who do you think takes care of us? Jimin hyung had other things to do but now he has to shoulder the responsibility of caring for me and Seokjin hyung. I don’t want to hear your side. Whatever you have to say is selfish.” Jungkook felt his body heat up and his breaths come in faster. He was aware of the tears on his face but he couldn’t control them. All he could feel was the pain in his chest and heart. After an entire painful year of searching and hoping, Namjoon was here. After so long, he had found his friend.

“Can you take a deep breath for me, sweetheart. Slowly.” And suddenly Yoongi was there offering his comfort and Jungkook definitely didn’t want to let him down. He wiped his face with the back of his hand and he struggled to take in a deep breath. In and out, slowly. It was harder than he thought it would be and he almost panicked a few times before Yoongi would whisper a few reassurances into his ear.

“You can do it, sweetheart. Don’t get scared,” He encouraged. Slowly, Jungkook began to take in steadier breaths and his body began to cool down. The pain in his chest waned and he almost collapsed into Yoongi, but he managed to stay strong. He kept breathing just to make sure he was okay.

“I’m sorry Kook. I’m so sorry,” Namjoon finally spoke. Jungkook felt his anger begin to rise and the thought of punching him was much stronger but then Yoongi’s hand was on his back, rubbing up and down, and he could do nothing as the violent thoughts left his mind.

“I’m the wrong person to be apologizing to. When Jimin and Seokjin hyungs get here, you know who needs it the most.” Namjoon nodded his head in agreement. If anybody missed Namjoon the most, it was Seokjin. They had been boyfriends for five years and best friends for even more.

“They should be here soon. Can I help you to the living room?” Yoongi offered. Jungkook looked up at the witch had saved his life and helped him remain docile with a soft smile.

“Please.” Yoongi’s hands went to Jungkook’s back, minding his left shoulder in the sling, and helped him stand up from the bed. He proved to be a stable support crutch for Jungkook, who had immediately wobbled on his feet. Together they slowly made it to the spacious living room located down the long hallway. Yoongi sat down next to him on the best leather couch Jungkook had ever been on.

In every corner of the room Jungkook saw plenty of herbs, plants, and even sparkly jewels. Jungkook was sure his definition of witch wasn’t the same as what Yoongi was but he couldn’t help but wonder what Yoongi could possibly do with all of the items. Would he brew them in a potion? Did witches do that?

“Any pain?” Yoongi asked, interrupting Jungkook’s internal questioning.

“Not much. I’m fine,” Jungkook replied.

The three of them sat there in complete silence for a while. Namjoon standing against the wall and Yoongi and Jungkook sitting together. He wasn’t sure why he was so comfortable with sitting next to a stranger, especially a supernatural one, but Jungkook felt a pull to be near Yoongi. While in any other situation he never would have laid his head on Yoongi’s shoulder, that’s exactly what he was doing, and Yoongi was rubbing his fingers through his hair (once again) while Jungkook struggled not to fall asleep. It felt oddly domestic and he liked it.

He was seconds away from nodding off when a sudden bang sounded throughout the house and the obnoxious noise of laughter. Jungkook jumped from his pillow on Yoongi’s shoulder before Yoongi simply rubbed his neck to calm him down.

“It’s okay. It’s just my two other friends. They’re also witches.”

“We’re the best witches!” Two young boys come around the corner into the living room from what Jungkook assumes is the front door. One of them is muscular and his smile reminded him of a horse, while the other is what can only be described as a pretty boy, with longer brown hair than the other. The one with the strange smile has sparkles all over his skin while the other has small horns protruding from the top of his head. They both looked oddly charming. Jungkook also noticed that neither of the witch friends had Yoongi’s red eyes.

“Who is this?” The one with the horns asks Yoongi gesturing towards Jungkook. Jungkook freezes at the sudden attention and debates hiding behind Yoongi. Of course to save his fragile pride, he chooses to stare at them back. Yoongi squeezes his neck reassuringly.

Jungkook, this is Hoseok,” Yoongi says gesturing towards the guy with the weird smile. “And this is Taehyung.” He nods towards the guy with horns.

“Why is he here?” Smile, or Hoseok, demanded. “He doesn’t look like a witch.” The two witches were eyeing him up and down, no doubt assessing the injuries on his body. To them, it probably looked like he was weak. He wondered if that’s what clued them in to his human status.

“Relax, both of you. I found him last night in the forest. A group of thugs had taken him,” Yoongi explained. Jungkook felt his face heat up in embarrassment. No doubt the two witches believed he was weak now.

“So? Why is he here and not at a hospital?” Taehyung asked this time. It was obvious that the two didn’t like his presence here.

Yoongi shot them a look. Jungkook wasn’t sure if it was scary so much as trying to convey a message. Before he could wonder what that message was, however, the two witches exchanged a glance before breaking into the biggest smiles he had ever seen. Besides Jimin’s, of course.

“Welcome to the forest, kid. I hope the scary stories don’t drive you away. You look pretty tough though,” Hoseok said playfully pushing against Jungkook’s good shoulder. He smiled awkwardly in attempt to brush off the strange contact, yet still remain polite.

“Aw he’s so cute! Look at his bunny teeth. So adorable,” Taehyung cooed over him. Jungkook was absolutely positive that his face resembled a tomato and he wasn’t sure how to handle that. So he did the only thing he could think of in short notice, and he buried his face in Yoongi’s neck, hoping to hide the scarlet hue.

“It’s okay, they’re just admiring you. I won’t let the big, bad witches harm you,” Yoongi spoke softly into his ear. Maybe he should have been mortified at the beautiful witch jestering him but like he was coming to find out, he was rather calm about it. Instead, he groaned into the witch’s neck.

“Did you guys officiate the bond already?” Taehyung asked flabbergasted. Jungkook looked up from his place in Yoongi’s neck to tilt his head to the side in question.

“Officiate the bond?”

“No! Just leave if you’re going to scare him like that,” Yoongi growled in warning. Taehyung lifted his hands in surrender.

“What does that mean?” Jungkook questioned Yoongi, who looked quite uncomfortable. His eyebrows were drawn together in thought and his shoulders were tense with worry. Before he could answer, however, a soft knock sounded at the door.

“Jimin and Seokjin.” Namjoon’s voice was shaky. The time he spent away from his love was finally catching up to him. He was so close and yet miles away. He wasn’t sure how Seokjin would react to seeing him again. Would he be elated? Angry? Disappointed? All of the above?

“I think it’s best if I get it,” Jungkook suggested. Namjoon immediately nodded in agreement.

“Yes, you’re probably right.”

“I’ll help you,” Yoongi said. Jungkook smiled gratefully as Yoongi carefully wrapped an arm around his waist and stood to help him walk to the front door. His hand was still resting there as Jungkook opened the door. Jimin immediately wrapped his arms around him and slapped him on the back of his head. Jungkook noticed Seokjin standing right outside, his expression vacant.

“You scared the hell out of me, Jungkook. I’m never letting you leave my sights again. What if he wasn’t there? You could be dead! Where is he? I need to thank him a million times,” Jimin rambled.

“Sorry hyung, I won’t do it again.” Jimin let go of Jungkook and sighed in relief.

“I know you won’t because I won’t let you.”

“Jimin hyung, this is Min Yoongi. He’s the one who saved my life,” Jungkook gestures behind him to the witch protectively watching the two. Jimin’s eyes narrowed at the sight of him and he hesitantly took a step back.

“A witch? Jeon Jungkook you’re so fucking stupid. Have you not listened to any of the elder’s tales about the forest?” Jimin shrieked.

“No he saved my lif— wait. How did you know he was a witch?” Jungkook questioned dubiously. Jimin, still not taking his eyes off of Yoongi, grabbed Jungkook’s wrist.

“His eyes are a dead giveaway.”

“Enough. I’m a witch and I’m not evil. Jungkook is in safe hands. I wouldn’t have saved his life otherwise,” Yoongi bristled.

“You could be a necromancer!” Jimin accused.

“I’m not.”

“Your word means nothing!” Jimin was shouting even louder and Jungkook was surprised that no one had come rushing to Yoongi’s aid. Although he was certain that the witch could take care of hiself.

Yoongi suddenly lunged forward, his hand glowing red, and placed it on Jimin’s forehead. His eyes went white, as if his pupils had vanished. Jungkook screamed in fear rushing to pull Jimin from him when Yoongi pulled his hand away and Jimin shook his head, snapping himself out of whatever had just occurred.

“Okay, so I guess you’re not,” Jimin grumbled in defeat.

“What just happened? Someone please explain.” Jungkook was shaking in fear. Had Yoongi just harmed Jimin?

“It’s okay, Yoongi can be trusted,” Jimin informed begrudgingly.

“Sorry for scaring you. I was showing your friend that I’m not harmful.” Yoongi seemed genuinely sorry. As if he was worried that Jungkook was now terrified of him and was desperate to prove himself innocent.

It was all so confusing to Jungkook. It didn’t make sense why Yoongi cared so much about what he thought. It didn’t make sense why Jungkook didn’t want to be scared of him. It didn’t make sense why he wanted to be with Yoongi all the time now when he had just met the witch.

It just didn’t make sense and he wasn’t sure if he wanted it to.

So Jungkook did whatever he does when he didn’t want to find out, he changed the topic quickly.

“Jimin hyung, there’s something you need to see. I’m not sure how you’ll take it. Seokjin hyung needs to see it too.” Jungkook changed his tone to match the urgency of the matter. While Jungkook had been angry to discover that Namjoon had been alive and well after all this time, Jimin would probably strangle him. It was the most difficult task he ever had to do. While it should have fallen upon Seokjin hyung to maintain the role of the eldest, Jimin had to take over. He was young himself and had studies from school and a minimum wage job that both drained him mentally and emotionally, yet he never let the stress get to him. Jungkook wishes he could have done more to help out.

“What is it?” Jimin’s voice was also grave, as if he had suddenly expected the worst. To him, it could be the best and worst thing at the same time.

“You’ll see.”

With the assistance of Yoongi, against Jimin’s protest, they all made their way back into the living room. Hoseok was inspecting the plants, a content look on his face. Taehyung was spread out over the couch, taking up the entire space. Namjoon was pacing back and forth between Hoseok and Taehyung but he halted once he saw them enter.

Jimin was staring around the place in awe, not noticing the man in front of him. Jungkook was about to clear his throat to direct his attention elsewhere when suddenly a shrieking cry pierced the air. Jungkook jumped in fright until he saw the culprit.

Seokjin had dropped to his knees clearly in anguish. Jimin jumped to his side worried.

“Hyung? Hyung what’s wrong? What happened?”

It was all too painful to watch. Seokjin wasn’t just crying but he was screaming. It was as if he was punishing himself for what he was witnessing or maybe he thought it was all in his head. No matter what the reason, it was clear Seokjin was in pain.

“Jin.” Namjoon spoke so quietly Jungkook might have passed it off as a figment of his imagination if it wasn’t for Seokjin’s whimper in response.

“Namjoon? No... that’s not... how?” Jimin’s mouth was gaped in shock.

His day had taken quite the turn. First, Jungkook hadn’t returned home. Then Jimin discovered he had been mugged and was rescued by a seemingly harmless witch. Now his friend who had been missing for an entire year was standing right in front of him. It was real, otherwise Seokjin wouldn’t be sobbing hysterically on the floor.

What had he done in his past life to deserve this?

“I guess I’ve got a lot to explain,” Namjoon said awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

Jimin picked up Seokjin from the floor, tucking him in safely to his side.

“Yeah you fucking do.”

The morning of Namjoon’s disappearance had started off rocky. Namjoon had been staying at the library for a long time and Seokjin had started to miss him. The two boyfriends had gotten into a heated argument, both saying things they wanted to take back. Namjoon demanded he stop clinging to him claiming Seokjin never gave him any space. Seokjin had then screamed for Namjoon to leave.

And he did.

Jackson had approached him when he was at a cafe and invited him to the party that night. Normally, he would have said no but he had nowhere else to be. At the party he had gotten heavily drunk, he left the group hoping to find a place to vomit in private and realized he had lost his way. He remembered that at the time he had been so dizzy and was positive he was going to pass out.

Knowing the forest wasn’t safe at night, Namjoon had attempted to find the group again but he had stumbled against a tree root and didn’t have the strength to get back up. For hours he had layed there in the eerie silence and darkness of the forest, certain he was going to die there. Until Yoongi, Hoseok, and Taehyung came along. They had helped him back to the house, Namjoon passing out halfway through the walk, and nursed him back to health.

Namjoon figured Seokjin would never want him back after everything that had happened, so he stayed gone. Instead becoming an apprentice to the three witches. The world of witchcraft had fascinated Namjoon and he had become quite content living there. Although the pain of being without Seokjin had never gotten easier.

The seven of them sat in silence after listening to Namjoon’s story. Jungkook, Jimin, and Seokjin mourned the pain they all felt together while Yoongi, Hoseok, and Taehyung were quiet out of politeness to the situation. With the exception of Jungkook and Jimin, they had all played some sort of role in the time Namjoon was gone and now they were facing the reality of being together. It was almost too much to handle.

The silence had long since become deafening and Jungkook felt ready to run away when Seokjin left Jimin’s side to run straight into Namjoon, who looked rather stunned at the action. Quickly he recovered and the two hugged each other tightly, crying in unison. In their own way, they were catching up on the time that they had missed. While it was sweet to look at, Jungkook knew they still had some major fixing to do, the year away had just added to it.

“I’m Taehyung. You must be Jimin. I must say Jimin, you’re really cute,” Taehyung interrupted the sweet moment with a wiggle of his brows towards a now reddening Jimin.

“I... what?” Jimin stuttered confused. Taehyung slowly approached the flustered boy until they were almost nose to nose.

“I think you’re really cute,” Taehyung restated with the same confidence as before.

“I... um... thanks? I guess?” Jimin was bright red now and nervously shifting on his feet. Jungkook felt his pain as he felt the same way whenever he was around Yoongi.

“Want to get out of here? I’ll take you to my room,” Taehyung suggested with a smirk. Jungkook opened his mouth, flabbergasted. Was Taehyung really suggesting what he thinks he’s suggesting? Jimin apparently felt the same way as he huffed in embarrassment.

“What, right now? Isn’t that kind of inappropriate?”

“No, this...” he gestured towards the couple on the floor, “Has nothing to do with us. I’ll make it worth your while?” Taehyung singsonged. Jimin relaxed and stared straight into his eyes. It felt like some force was telling him it was okay and Jimin believed it, all logic had gone out the window. Besides, Taehyung was hot.

“Yeah alright,” Jimin shrugged a shoulder and took Taehyung’s outstretched hand. Together, the two disappeared down the hallway leaving Jungkook to wonder what the hell just happened.

“Wha—“

“Taehyung must have found his soulmate. Poor thing, he’s probably going to be screaming Taehyung’s name all night. He is quite rough in bed,” Hoseok states interrupting Jungkook.

“And how would you know, Hoseok?” Yoongi demanded. Hoseok’s only reply was a wink, which had Yoongi exclaiming in disgust.

“Yoongi, What does he mean by soulmate?” Jungkook asked. Yoongi grimaced immediately and Hoseok burst into laughter.

“Ouch hyung. Good luck explaining to your soulmate what a soulmate is. Don’t forget to tell him about officiating the bond.” And with that, Hoseok disappeared into a cloud of black smoke. Jungkook was surprised by how cliche the action had been.

“Yeah good luck. I’m going to be in my room with Jin hyung. Try not to scare him,” Namjoon cringed. Lifting Seokjin up bridal style, he too disappeared down the hallway.

“Soulmate? Officiating the bond? What does that mean? And why did Jimin leave to hook up with Taehyung? Jimin would never do that! Why am I the only one freaking out? Is something wrong? Is it me—“

“Sweetheart, listen to me okay? I’ll explain everything. Can I help you to my room first?” Yoongi interrupted putting his hands on Jungkook’s cheeks.

“You’ll tell me everything?” Jungkook asked, staring into Yoongi’s eyes. He wanted to make sure Yoongi was going to answer all of his questions. He was overwhelmed by everything that had been going on in the past twenty four hours and he wasn’t sure how much more he could take. It was stressful.

“Of course,” Yoongi replied holding his gaze.

“Okay then.”

Jungkook, with the help of Yoongi, made his way back to the bedroom where he was sat on the bed while Yoongi stood, twiddling his fingers.

“What do you want to know first?” Yoongi offered.

“Why is Jimin okay with leaving with Taehyung? He’s never done that before and he looked like he was in some sort of trance. Did Taehyung use his magic?” Jungkook breathed.

“Jimin and Taehyung are soulmates. So uh, when a witch meets the one they’re supposed to be with forever, an invisible bond is formed between the two and emotions can be portrayed upon each other with the bond. Whatever Jimin feels, so does Taehyung. Soulmates tend to trust each other right after they meet because, well actually we don’t know. It’s our perfect match and there is usually no reason to question it.”

“So Jimin trusts Taehyung even though he doesn’t know him?” Jungkook questions.

“With a soulmate bond it feels like you know the person you’re with. Jimin might be feeling close to him without quite realizing it.”

“And what is officiating the bond?” Jungkook doesn’t miss a beat and continues to ask his questions.

Yoongi tenses and shifts uncomfortably. It was clear the subject was touchy and sensing Yoongi’s discomfort had Jungkook also feeling strange.

Maybe he shouldn’t have asked.

“It’s well um, soulmates have a uh, bond and while that bond is really strong on its own, it can be stronger.”

“How do you do that?” Jungkook presses.

Yoongi runs a hand through his hair and bites down on his lip.

“Uh... sex.” Yoongi looks up at Jungkook, who is blushing in embarrassment, to check his reaction.

“Um... oh. Oh. Is uh, are... Taehyung and Jimin—“ Jungkook stutters awkwardly.

“Yeah. While normal soulmates tend to wait a while before doing that, Taehyung is rather... horny.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah.”

It’s silent between the two as Jungkook lets all the information sink in. Witches have soulmates but it seems like humans can too since Jimin is a human. And soulmates have bonds that can be enhanced through sex and if that didn’t make Jungkook uncomfortable then, it did now.

His best friend was getting laid.

If anyone heard screaming in the world, it was a Jeon Jungkook in his mind.

“I have one last question,” Jungkook states. Yoongi nods in acknowledgement.

“We’re soulmates, aren’t we?”

Yoongi kneels in front of Jungkook, placing his hands on Jungkook’s knees. He stares into his eyes, which are rather scary but warm at the same time, expecting an answer.

And Yoongi does provide it.

In hindsight, Jungkook saw it coming once he explained what a soulmate was.

“Yes.”

And suddenly everything made sense.

Jungkook, Jimin, and Seokjin had stayed the night under the care of the three witches and Namjoon.

Seokjin had refused to leave Namjoon’s side. If he wasn’t hugging him he was latched on to some other body part, refusing to make any space between the two. It was apparent that Namjoon wasn’t against it as he held on to Seokjin with the same fervor. The couple had missed each other and they weren’t ever going to let go again.

True to his witch mark (horns), Taehyung had “officiated the bond” with a now very sore Jimin. After the act, in which everyone in the house heard Jimin’s moans and were now uncomfortable around the two, Jimin had also stayed glued to Taehyung’s side. Even though they barely knew each other, they trusted each other through the bond.

Hoseok was a comfortable presence and proved to be just the comedic relief that everyone needed throughout the events of the day. Cracking a joke every time the air became thick with awkward tension, Hoseok was the reason why everyone could be so calm.

Jungkook was a different story. After his rather shocking conversation with Yoongi, the two had sat together in silence. Jungkook wasn’t uncomfortable so much as he was confused. It made sense but he wasn’t sure why it made sense. Sure he really liked Yoongi’s company. Sure Yoongi had saved his life. Sure Yoongi was really hot and Jungkook almost popped a boner whenever the two were really close, but it was almost too much.

He had just discovered that witches were real; that soulmates were real. And he had just met both of them in one person. But despite his life becoming a jumbled mess in the past thirty six hours, boy was he glad his soulmate was someone as attentive and sexy as Yoongi.

While he probably should have waited to be so close to Yoongi, he had begged the witch to stay with him in bed for the night. Yoongi had refused at first, adamant he wanted to get to know Jungkook first but when Jungkook had promised he didn’t want to officiate the bond yet, Yoongi relented. The two had gone to sleep, leaving a small space between there bodies. But if anyone were to walk by they would notice the soulmates clasping their hands tightly as they slept.

When morning had returned, Jungkook and Jimin knew they couldn’t stay any longer. The two had classes and they had been away from their apartment for too long.

Yoongi understood. As a witch even he had a business to run, which happened to be a potion selling shop as Jungkook had discovered, and he knew he couldn’t take any more time off either. He gave Jungkook his number, adjusted the strap of his sling, and made Jungkook promise he would call every night.

Taehyung however, was not happy about it. He had grabbed Jimin tightly and would have carried him off to his room if Jimin hadn’t promised to come see Taehyung whenever he had his free days.

Namjoon didn’t want to leave the witches but after just getting Seokjin back, he didn’t want to leave him either. So Seokjin had offered to stay with the witches, where he would learn about potions under the guidance of his lover.

“I’ll miss you every day. Take care of yourself and don’t use your arm until it heals,” Yoongi stated softly. Jungkook embraced him with one arm, catching Yoongi off guard.

“Of course hyung. I’ll miss you too,” Jungkook smiled while holding back tears. It wasn’t as if he was saying goodbye forever, but Jungkook couldn’t help the overwhelming feeling of sadness.

Jimin and Jungkook had left the house, both looking back every few seconds, until the house had left their view.

“Why do I feel like my heart is going to explode?” Jimin asked as they pulled out of the forest and into town.

“I don’t know, but I feel the same way,” Jungkook replied sullenly.

As the weeks went by and the soulmates visited each other every weekend, they would find out that the two witches had also felt the same way.

They would also find themselves falling in love.

Taehyung and Jimin had fallen hard and fast. One stupid act like smiling had Taehyung and Jimin fawning over each other. Despite being a perverted witch, Taehyung really cared for Jimin’s well being. One week, Jimin had fallen pretty ill that he couldn’t make it to Yoongi’s house for the weekend and Taehyung had literally teleported into the apartment with soup and a warm rag to care for him. He checked on the status of his fever, fed him soup, and helped him to the bathroom whenevr he had to throw up. It continued all through the weekend and Taehyung hadn’t left for even a second. That was when Jimin and Taehyung had fallen in love.

Jungkook and Yoongi had taken their time and fell for each other slowly but surely. It was the little things that each had learned about the other that had them head over heels in love. Jungkook, as Yoongi had come to find out, loved all things music. Although Jungkook denied it, he was good at everything related to the subject. Dancing, rapping, singing, and playing the piano. Jungkook had admitted his love for the instrument but never found the right person to teach him to play.

That’s when he discovered Yoongi’s talent for all things musical as well.

Yoongi had played the piano for most of his life and even went so far as to calling the beautiful grand piano in the living room his first love. While Yoongi couldn’t sing as well as he would have liked to, he loved to rap. And boy could Yoongi rap.

Jungkook had asked Yoongi to rap for him one day when they had been curled up on his couch watching Harry Potter together. Yoongi didn’t even miss a beat and began rapping the words to his own song, ‘Agust D’ and Jungkook had been worried that he would pass out from lack of oxygen. But Yoongi had finished and went back to watching the movie as if he hadn’t just been roasting everyone within the span of twenty seconds.

Needless to say, they were each impressed with each other.

And totally in love.

But both were a little too nervous to say so.

Yoongi was worried because Jungkook had just been introduced to the world of magic and didn’t want to confess out of fear of overwhelming the boy more than he already had. He felt he would wait until they had known each other for a while and then confess. But the lingering thought of Jungkook’s rejection was always in the back of his mind.

Would Jungkook say no?

Jungkook was worried because he had never been in love. He was a complete stranger to anything romance related. And while resting his head on Yoongi’s shoulders as they watched a movie or played the piano came as second nature, he still had not kissed the older male... or anyone for that matter. The thought of being so inexperienced and messing up his first kiss with Yoongi sent tremors down his spine.

Would Yoongi be disgusted by him?

But neither would have the chance to find out as the one thing Jungkook had been dreading for all year had finally arrived.

Exams.

Jungkook had been pouring himself into his studies, often going nights without sleep and skipping meals. While there was no doubt that Jungkook was intelligent and breezed through his classes, he still stressed himself just to make sure he was prepared for everything. If he had anything to be happy about though, it was that his arm was no longer trapped in that awful sling.

Yoongi had fussed over him. Bringing over Seokjin’s amazing cooking as often as he could and his best anti stress potions, which Jungkook had been hesitant to take at first because of its unfamiliarity. But if it wasn’t for Yoongi dragging him to bed for some well needed rest, Jungkook would have passed out on many occasions.

But when exams had passed and all of the stress was over, the one thing he wanted to do was collapse into Yoongi’s arms. And maybe nap. So the first thing he does when he exits his last class is to call Yoongi.

“How did it go?” Is the first thing he hears when Yoongi answers.

“Good, I think. All of that studying definitely helped,” Jungkook replied exasperated.

“I’m proud of you, baby.”

And suddenly Jungkook is glad he’s speaking through the phone so Yoongi can’t see the ridiculous blush on his face.

“T-thank you. But I, um wanted to ask you something,” Jungkook stuttered.

“Oh? And what did you want to ask me?”

“Well actually maybe it was a request?”

“What do you request of me, sweetheart?” Yoongi sounded amused at Jungkook’s normal shyness which he was happy to see after a month without due to exams.

“I want to uh... see you.”

“And why is that?”

“B-because I—“

“Because you?” Yoongi pressed.

“Because I miss you,” Jungkook whined. There was silence over the phone and for a split second, Jungkook was frightened that he had said the wrong thing and Yoongi was now deciding how he was going to drop him, until Yoongi replied.

“I miss you too.” Except his voice had not come from the phone but from behind him, effectively scaring the hell out of him.

“Yoongi hyung! There are people here, you can’t just teleport here. Someone could have seen you!” Jungkook scolded.

“No one saw me. Besides they’re all too busy looking down at their phones to notice,” Yoongi replied. “Now come here and hug me.”

Jungkook happily complied, burying his face into Yoongi’s neck and breathing in the scent of mint and other herbs he couldn’t quite identify. He smelled like what Jungkook would imagine magic to smell like if it had a scent.

Yoongi ran a hand through Jungkook’s hair as the two stood there embraced in each other’s hold. While onlookers were no doubt judging them harshly, the two soulmates were lost in their own world, paying attention only to themselves.

Jungkook doesn’t notice he’s began to fall asleep while standing until Yoongi is chuckling in his ear.

“Sleepy?” Yoongi asks gently.

“Mm,” Jungkook mumbles.

“Do you want to go home and rest?” Yoongi offers. While the offer sounds tempting to an exhausted Jungkook, he definitely does not want to leave Yoongi’s arms which were way more comfortable than his bed would ever be.

“Nooooo,” is all Jungkook is able to get out instead. Yoongi chuckled again which brings a sleepy smile to Jungkook face.

“Come on baby. Let’s go home and cuddle, hm? A nap sounds good right now,” Yoongi suggests to the surprise of Jungkook. It was almost amazing at how well Yoongi could read his thoughts. And even though they had never cuddled in bed before, they were no stranger to the act. Spending most of their time couch cuddling while watching tv is a normal routine for the couple. It was a little strange that Yoongi had brought up the act of napping together before Jungkook could.

But who was he to turn down such a tempting act?

“Yes, please.”

Thirty minutes later, the soulmates are cuddled in bed watching some movie on Jungkook’s laptop. His head was resting on Yoongi’s chest while an arm was wrapped around Jungkook’s shoulders, stroking up and down. Jungkook has definitely been comfortable in bed before but never had he felt so content in bed where he is right now.

Wanting to get a better view of Yoongi, Jungkook turns to look up at him, only to find him already staring at him with warm, red eyes. Even though they had spent many weeks close with each other, it still confounded Jungkook how Yoongi could make red eyes seem soft when they were usually creepy. It was enough to send chills down his spine.

The horny kind, not the fear type.

Yoongi’s gaze falls to Jungkook’s lips and before Jungkook could work up the nerve to act first, Yoongi is already leaning forward to slot their lips in a gentle kiss. Jungkook automatically closes his eyes and leans into the kiss, hoping his ability will come naturally.

And it does.

What started off as a sweet kiss quickly escalated into a much more rough version. Jungkook swipes his tongue across Yoongi’s mouth, who growls and bites down on Jungkook’s bottom lip. He gasps and Yoongi seizes the opportunity to brush his tongue into Jungkook’s mouth.

Jungkook has heard of French kissing before. The act was always considered as disgusting to him until now. French kissing Yoongi was magical and Jungkook wanted to keep kissing him like that forever. So he does the only logical thing he can think of and he straddles Yoongi’s waist. Yoongi grunts in surprise and one hand goes to wrap around Jungkook’s back while the other grips his hair in a rough tug. Jungkook gasps in pleasure.

He is disappointed when Yoongi pulls away from the kiss and he is about to voice it when he feels Yoongi’s lips latch on to his pulse point located on his throat.

Oh” Jungkook moans. He feels Yoongi smiling against his throat and can’t help the smile that appears on his face.

“Feel good?” Yoongi asks peppering kisses against the bruising hickey on his neck.

“Y-yes, ah!” Jungkook grinds down against Yoongi, relishing in the feeling of Yoongi’s hardening dick beneath him. It made Jungkook ecstatic that he was able to get him to feel that way. That he was responsible for Yoongi’s pleasure.

Unfortunately Yoongi sharply pulls away and plants a soft kiss on Jungkook’s nose.

“You’re tired, baby. You need to sleep,” Yoongi says. Jungkook is panting as his eyebrows knit together. Partly in confusion and partly in hurt.

“Did... did I do something wrong?” Jungkook questions scrabbling to get off Yoongi’s lap. Yoongi immediately reaches for him and tucks him into his side.

“No! Absolutely not, sweetheart. I just think you need sleep right now and if you keep winding me up like that, I won’t be able to control myself. You’re too tempting,” Yoongi reassures into Jungkook’s ear. He relaxes into his hold, relieved Yoongi was attracted to him both emotionally and physically.

“But I’m wide awake now. I want to,” Jungkook tries to persuade even as he yawns halfway through. Yoongi smiles at this and lightly kisses him on the lips.

“Sleep. My tired college student. You’ve had a rough week,” Yoongi states as he pulls the bed comforter over their bodies.

Although quite exhausted from the events of the week, Jungkook fell asleep with a smile on his face and a mission in mind.

Mission: To Seduce Min Yoongi.

Which proved to be quite difficult.

On three occasions had Jungkook found himself grinding against Yoongi and making out furiously trying to quench his thirst for him when someone always interrupted.

The first time took place in Jungkook’s bedroom as the two lovers began kissing. Yoongi had hoisted him up and as Jungkook wrapped his legs around Yoongi’s waist, he was pushed up against the wall. It allowed him perfect access to grind down on Yoongi and that’s exactly what he was doing, until Jimin walked in unannounced and yelled at the sight. The couple immediately pulled away from each other, albeit Yoongi carefully setting Jungkook down on his feet.

“Gross!” Jimin yells at the two.

“What the hell? You have sex with Taehyung every week at least three times. Why can’t I get laid just once?” Jungkook argues to Jimin.

“That’s different, I don’t do it in front of you.”

“We were in MY room!” With the door closed!” Jungkook yells.

“I don’t see your point.”

“Park Jimin get out!”

“That’s Park Jimin hyung to you, brat.” Jimin slams the door shut. Jungkook hits his head against the wall in frustration, planning on ways to murder his hyung when Yoongi laughs and pulls Jungkook in to kiss him. Successfully stopping him from damaging his brain.

“It’s okay, my love. You’ll have plenty of chances to ‘get laid,’” Yoongi chuckles. Jungkook groans in response.

The second time was definitely Jungkook’s fault. They were in Yoongi’s work room and Yoongi had been teaching Jungkook basic potions when he had pulled Yoongi in for a strong kiss. In hindsight he definitely should have seen it coming as Yoongi’s work room was also work to the rest of the household. So when Namjoon walked in to find Yoongi slipping his hand under Jungkook’s shirt, you can bet Namjoon made a big deal by walking into a shelf and knocking over all the books residing there.

At the sound of the commotion, the lovers turned their heads only to find Namjoon shakily picking up said books.

“Sorry guys, I uh... didn’t know you were busy,” Namjoon apologizes awkwardly.

“Sorry Namjoon hyung, we got—er carried away,” Jungkook tried to explain.

But it was no use.

He wouldn’t get Min Yoongi’s love that day either.

The third time Jungkook had been absolutely certain he was finally going to officiate the bond. The two were passionately kissing in a hotel room far away from any of their friends walking in on them. They had stripped down to their boxers and most certainly on their way to becoming fully naked when Jungkook’s cell phone rang.

“Just ignore it,” Jungkook pleads as he pushes Yoongi’s face back down towards his own. Once it had silenced, his phone started to ring again.

“Mmm, looks like someone wants your attention,” Yoongi whispers into Jungkook’s mouth.

“Just you, I hope. Keep kissing,” Jungkook demands. Yoongi happily obliges, slotting their lips back together in a heated kiss as the phone stopped ringing.

And then proceeded to start back up again. Yoongi laughs and reaches for his phone on the hotel bedside table, much to the disappointment of Jungkook.

“It’s Taehyung. Answer it, baby.”

Jungkook groans and snatches the phone grumpily from Yoongi’s hand.

“What?” Jungkook snaps.

“Jungkook! Jimin’s in the hospital,” Taehyung cries into the phone. Jungkook immediately sits up, surprising Yoongi.

“What? What happened?”

Yoongi was immediately concerned and took Jungkook’s phone to place it on speaker.

“He fell down the stairs at the school. They had to take him. If only I had been there to heal him.”

“Relax, Tae. Are you with him right now?” Yoongi spoke.

They hear a sniffle on the line, “Yeah.”

“Great. Then we’ll meet you there,” Yoongi says as he hangs up the phone.

“Hyung!” Jungkook whines.

“What, baby?”

Jungkook pouts, ”I wanted to have sex!”

Yoongi pauses for a moment before bursting into laughter.

“Soon baby. Now put your clothes on, our idiot friend needs us.”

It was clear that soon wasn’t going to happen.

So Jungkook enlisted the help of someone he knew would be the answer to his problem. His sex problem.

Jung Hoseok.

“Why exactly do you need me? Just tell Yoongi you want his dick,” Hoseok answers bluntly.

“We’ve gotten so close hyung. But every time we start to get somewhere, someone interrupts us,” Jungkook explains.

“Okay, then go somewhere secluded,” Hoseok offered.

“We already tried at a hotel.”

Hoseok’s eyes widen, “How did you ruin that one?”

“Jimin broke his leg,” Jungkook answered frustrated.

Hoseok ponders for a while. Thinking of different places until an idea hits him.

“I know what you need!” He suddenly says, causing Jungkook to jump in fright.

“What?” Jungkook asks excitedly.

“You need a reason for Yoongi hyung to stay by your side, so even if you get distracted, he won’t want to leave.”

“Great, and how do I do that?”

Hoseok winks, “An aphrodisiac.”

Jungkook gulps at the mischievous expression. “A what?”

“An aphrodisiac. It will make you horny, but the kind of horny that can’t be settled with a cold shower. I’ll make it for you. But if you want to make sure there are no distractions, do it on Saturday night. We’re all going out of town for camping in a normal forest. Also we need more herbs for potions and Yoongi never goes.”

Jungkook launches himself into Hoseok for a hug.

“Thank you, hyung!”

And Jungkook can’t wait for Saturday to roll around. He might have felt ashamed if it wasn’t for the fact he had tried what felt like so many times. It was more than aggravating to be interrupted so many times that Jungkook had to wonder if his previous attempts to officiate the bond were fruitless.

Was it ever going to happen?

Saturday night rolled around and finally, finally did Jeon Jungkook have an answer.

Yes! Oh, yes.

With the early morning sun, Friday also brought along a special Jung Hoseok with the very thing Jungkook needed to pull this off.

The aphrodisiac.

And while a part of Jungkook was telling him to be wary of the potion because of its unknown potency, the bigger part of him wanted to be closer to Yoongi. And of course the bigger side would win.

So there he was, sitting on Yoongi’s couch waiting for him to return from his garden. He opened the vial containing the aphrodisiac and brought his nose up to it to inspect. It smelled oddly of vanilla, quite enticing. From there it was easy to drink it and Jungkook was pleased to find it also tasted like vanilla. Immediately he felt his muscles go lax and he practically melted into the couch. It felt... relaxing. For minutes he sat there feeling ready to fall asleep. Just as he was beginning to wonder wether it would start working, he feels and unbearable wave of heat force it’s way from his head down through his spine ending at his toes. It suddenly felt a hundred degrees hotter than he had previously been in.

An itch began to present itself throughout his body and Jungkook almost felt horrified when the heat and itch began to creep up into his dick. He watched as he slowly began to feel hotter and hotter as his dick began to rise, a thick sheen of sweat forming at the back of his neck.

“Holy shit!” A deep voice startled him as he jumped on the couch, turning to face the owner. Yoongi stood at the entrance to the living room with blown out pupils, astonished at the scene in front of him.

“Hyung,” Jungkook whined. Snapping himself out of his trance, Yoongi quickly makes his way towards a panting Jungkook.

“Sweetheart, what... what happened?” He asked pressing the back of his hand to Jungkook’s cheek, offering much needed comfort.

Finding that his mouth wouldn’t form words as his tongue felt heavy, Jungkook pointed to the vial by his leg. Yoongi picked up the vial and inspected it with a raised eyebrow.

“Aphrodisiac? Jungkook! Why would you take this?”

“I just, ugh, wanted to, oh, make love with you,” Jungkook managed to pant out all while suppressing his major urge to jump Yoongi like a horny rabbit.

Yoongi’s features softened and he pressed a soft kiss to Jungkook’s lips, who seemed upset when he pulled away from the contact.

“That’s it? Why didn’t you ask?”

“I tried, but every time we, ugh, got close we were alwa- always interrupted.”

Yoongi chuckled softly before his face changed to match a serious expression, “Are you really sure you want to do this?”

Jungkook nodded.

A light smack to his left thigh had Jungkook gasping in shock.

“Words, baby.” Yoongi rubbed the spot where he had slapped.

Jungkook whined and tossed his head back, ”Yes. Please, please.”

And that’s all Yoongi needs to hear before he hoisted Jungkook up into his arms and carried him off into his bedroom, closing the door with one foot before pressing Jungkook up against it.

Their lips smashed together as their tongues battled for dominance. It was clear who was in control when Yoongi immediately managed to get Jungkook submit with a small, musical moan. As their tongues continued to dance together, Yoongi softly ran a hand down from Jungkook’s waist to rest on the back of his thigh. Jungkook pushes his head back into the wall and Yoongi took the chance to suck a large red mark into his pulse point.

“Hyung, please.” Jungkook was panting heavily and his lips were kiss swollen and oh so bite-able. But since nothing was stopping Yoongi from doing so, he pulled Jungkook’s bottom lip with his teeth.

“What do you want, baby?” Yoongi teased.

“Touch me,” Jungkook begged.

“Touch you? Touch you... here?” Yoongi’s hand squeezed his thigh and Jungkook shook his head fervently.

“N-no,” He whined shakily.

“Then where? You have to be more specific, baby or else I won’t know what you’re talking about.”

Jungkook almost cried out in frustration. Instead he rolled down on to Yoongi’s hips creating the friction he so craved. But it wasn’t enough.

Yoongi walked away from the wall, with Jungkook secured safely in his hold, and placed him down softly on the bed. He quickly relieved themselves of their shirts and pants, leaving them in their boxers which would sooner or later be on the floor with the rest of the discarded clothing. Jungkook grabbed Yoongi by his arm and pulled him down harshly to lay on top of him. He attached his lips to Yoongi’s in another wet kiss and used the opportunity of his current position to thrust up into his clothed dick. The friction felt so good but once again Jungkook found he couldn’t be completely satisfied dry humping his boyfriend like an inexperienced teenager so he went a step further and pulled Yoongi’s boxers down all the way to his knees.

Yoongi laughed as he removed them the rest of the way and tossed them on the floor along with the other clothes.

“Impatient, aren’t we?” Yoongi teased as he too, slipped Jungkook out of his boxers and also threw them onto the floor.

“Need you, hyung,” Jungkook answered with a smile. Yoongi reciprocated before leaning down and brushing their noses together. It was still surprising to Yoongi at how much and how fast he had fallen for the boy with the bunny smile laying right beneath him. He couldn’t help but feel so lucky and ecstatic. A warm feeling spread throughout his chest and he suddenly couldn’t help it.

“I love you, Jeon Jungkook.” A soft beat before Jungkook’s smile widened until Yoongi felt he had to shield his eyes from something so bright.

“I love you, Min Yoongi.” Soft kisses were exchanged before Jungkook couldn’t take it anymore.

“Please?” A whispered plea. And Yoongi was more than happy to oblige. A flash of red light beamed from Yoongi’s hands before a bottle of lube appeared. He popped the cap off and applied a generous amount on three fingers before placing it on the nightstand. He allowed himself a moment to rake his gaze down Jungkook’s softly toned body, admiring the light muscle that was prominent on his shoulders, abs, and thighs. Jungkook was the epitome of sexy. Yoongi held back a deep moan before slowly pressing a finger inside Jungkook.

A soft cry left Jungkook’s mouth as he draped an arm over his face, not quite knowing what to do with them. As Yoongi’s finger went all the way in Jungkook stayed still, waiting for the slight pain to ease before urging Yoongi to add another finger. He obeyed and as soon as the other finger went in, Yoongi scissored them to help loosen him up. Jungkook’s hips were stuttering as he lifted them off the sheets and into the air to feel more. He cried out when he felt Yoongi mercilessly ram them into his prostrate, effectively stopping him from any further intelligent thinking. The third finger went in and Jungkook suddenly couldn’t breathe anymore as the pleasure started to become too much. As Yoongi’s fingers continued its rough treatment, he leaned down to press a quick kiss onto Jungkook’s lips.

“Breathe.” A soft commandment which Jungkook was happy to follow as he continued to take deep breaths to soothe his mind.

Yoongi’s fingers suddenly disappeared and Jungkook removed his arm from his face to watch as Yoongi slicked up his thick length with more lube.

“Are you ready, baby?” He asked.

“Yes, please,” Jungkook answered softly. Yoongi smiled and Jungkook was so utterly lost in the appearance of his gums that he didn’t notice when Yoongi aligned himself with his puckering and disappointedly empty hole. Not until he felt the tip push its way past Jungkook’s rim to eventually settle close to his prostate. Yoongi was all the way in now and it was taking every ounce of his strength not to pound Jungkook into the sheets as his ass continued to tighten around his dick.

Eventually Jungkook was more than ready and nodded to let Yoongi know. Yoongi rested on his elbows allowing him to nuzzle into Jungkook’s neck as he slowly pulled out and slammed back in. Jungkook gasped and wrapped his legs around Yoongi’s waist to allow a better angle for Yoongi to slam into. He established a medium fast pace as he continued to rock into Jungkook, feeling euphoric throughout the entire time. Jungkook moaned into his ear as Yoongi whispered soft reassurances.

“So good, baby.”

“Doing so good.”

“Feel good?”

“So beautiful seeing you take my cock like this.”

“So good for hyung.”

“More?”

“I love you.”

Jungkook finally came, painting Yoongi’s lower abdomen with cum. He pressed his face into Yoongi’s shoulder as he continued to ram into him.

“Almost there, baby,” Yoongi reassured.

“Sensitive,” Jungkook sobbed as Yoongi continued his abuse on Jungkook’s prostate.

“Almost there,” Yoongi repeated as he made to pull out. Jungkook whined and tightened his legs around Yoongi’s waist, preventing him from doing so.

“Inside me,” Jungkook demanded. Yoongi felt the tightening in his balls at the words and came. Jungkook’s ass milked him of all his come. Yoongi pressed soft kisses all over Jungkook’s face as he began giggling at the tickling sensation. One final kiss was made to his lips which took more time than the previous ones did. He poured all of his love for Jungkook into the single act and Jungkook did the same.

Jungkook yawned as Yoongi pulled out, feeling sated when he felt some of Yoongi’s come leaking out from his red hole. He felt so exhausted that he barely noticed Yoongi leaving him before returning with a warm, wet towel to wipe him clean, kissing his hips once he was finished and tossing the rag on the floor. He grabbed two of his shirts from the closet to dress himself and Jungkook in. Jungkook sighed happily as Yoongi climbed into bed with him and draped the covers over each other. He rested his head on Yoongi’s chest and smiled when Yoongi linked their fingers together.

“How are you feeling, baby?” Yoongi asked.

“A little sore,” Jungkook answered honestly, “But I feel differently. Kind of like I never want to be away from you again. Not even for a second. I didn’t think I was the possessive type.”

Yoongi chuckled, “I feel the same. It’s because we’ve officiated the bond. We’re closer now than we were before having sex. It’s an intimate act in more ways than one.”

Jungkook turns his head up to kiss Yoongi’s shoulder before once again snuggling into Yoongi and his thick blankets. He yawned.

Yoongi kisses the top of his head, “Goodnight, Jungkook.”

“Goodnight, Yoongi.”

And the two drifted off into merry dreams.

Everything felt perfect. Kind of like a Hollywood ending kind of perfect.

Hoseok was always the bright presence and whenever anyone was angry or annoyed, he was the one to go to for advice. While it always struck Jungkook as strange at how quickly he could go from endless ball of energy to wise old owl, Jungkook also utilized his knowledge and street smarts.

Seokjin and Namjoon had never been more close with each other. The two were always joined hip to hip while usually laughing at something stupid the other had said. It was a relief to see the old Seokjin back. The one everyone loved. To see him smile was enough to get Jimin and Jungkook choked up in the throat. It was clear that the two lovers had made up and wouldn’t be falling out of love anytime soon. Namjoon had even proposed, for real, on the first of April. His love was real and not once would he ever joke about how much Seokjin meant to him. Seokjin said yes.

Taehyung and Jimin were the gross and cringey lovers. Jungkook always found them kissing in the most provocative of positions and the most public of areas. But despite their constant need for sex, Taehyung and Jimin treated each other like kings. Always making each other food and making sure each was getting plenty of rest and water. And, of course, attention.

Yoongi and Jungkook were the shy lovers. Exchanging loving glances whenever the others weren’t looking and holding hands in the bedroom were just the normal things for the soulmates. And neither would change it for the world. It was a perfect love and while everyone had their ups and downs, Jungkook and Yoongi never thought less of each other. The soulmates would no doubt be together forever.

The witches and apprentices continued to run the shop with ease. The witches always teaching them something new every day. Jungkook’s favorite was when Yoongi finally taught him how to make the same aphrodisiac Hoseok had made. Jungkook would of course use that to his advantage whenever he could.

And while the town would never trust the forest, Jungkook no longer feared the witch with blood red eyes or the magic shop hidden within the layers of trees. The magic shop was his home and Yoongi was his forever.
