Work Text:
Last night hadn’t been a good idea. You knew the moment you got home that it had been reckless of you but you just hadn’t cared at the time. You were working opposite schedules and were starved of their attention so you had thrower caution to the wind, confident in the fact that you hadn’t been found out yet and this time wouldn’t be any different. You had been wrong. So very wrong.
Groaning you slumped back into the chair in front of your bosses’ desk, his angry words washing over you as you looked at the two photos he had up on the screen.
You couldn’t deny the two men in them looked good.
Katsuki’s winter costume hugged his body tightly, showing off every muscle he had spent hours working on. The light of the dim ally casting half of his face in shadows and making the sharp line of his nose and jaw look even more prominent. He had ditched his massive grenade shaped gauntlets back in the summer, instead going for a sleek looking green glove that went almost up to his elbows. The high collar of his top had been tugged down slightly to expose the bottom half of his face, his black mask still in place and his spiky blond hair artistically tussled. He had one foot planted flat against the wall behind him, the orange accents on his knee pad reflecting the light from above.
He radiated confidence, lent back against the brick wall. Like he belonged in an add for some kind of manly aftershave or something.
Shoto on the other hand hadn’t changed his hero costume since he graduated U.A. He still wore the same blue jumpsuit. It wasn’t as tight as Katsuki’s outfit but then again Shoto wasn’t as vain as the other man. You could still clearly see the almost bulging muscles in his arms though as he supported his weight, kneeling on the edge of a roof of all things. His collar was open, exposing a tantalising glimpse of skin, the two sides held together with a small metal clasp. One gloved hand was curled against the edge of the ledge he was on and the small breeze had blown his hair to one side exposing every sharp line of his delicate looking face.
He looked like a damn panther, ready to pounce on his next bit of prey. The curve of his spine drawing your eye in and you couldn’t help but follow it to his firm ass that his costume was valiantly trying to hide.
No there was no problem with the men in the photos. The issue was you and the fact that you were in both of them.
You were pressed tight against Katsuki’s front, one of his arms wrapped around your waist and his other hand grabbing your ass tightly. Your hands were buried in his hair as you kissed, not even enough space between the two of you to slide a piece of paper through.
The photo with Shoto wasn’t any better. You were led down under him, your hand curled around his biceps. The lights below sparkling off of your skeleton hand guard and drawing attention to the way your nails were digging in. You were using your other arm to support you as you leant up, capturing Shoto’s lips in a heated kiss.
It didn’t help that you were still in your hero costume. The damn thing leaving very little to the imagination most days but it just seemed to make it all seem a little more sordid.
The outfit was nothing more than some glorified underwear. The black bodice just a strip of black fabric that looped behind your neck, the two ends coming down to cover your breasts then criss crossing across your stomach and attaching to the top of your black shorts that only just covered your ass. Your thighs were bare apart from the strips of black fabric that ran down the front and backs of your legs attaching to the black stockings just above your knees. Your chucky black boots coming up to just under your knees and laced up the front. Your left hand had a fingerless black leather glove on with more strips of black fabric coming from it, weaving up your arm to join with the top, with a few more strips over your cleavage.
Your quirk required skin on skin contact so you need as much of it on display as you could but even you had been surprised when the design had been approved. The first time you had worn it Mineta had almost bust a blood vessel. Hell even Katsuki had started yelling at anyone who so much looked at you whilst Shoto had tried to cover you with anything he could get his hands on. It had made the whole class incredibly awkward and you had gotten so angry at the two of them, using Shoto’s ice quirk to lash out at them.
They had gotten used to it over the years, coming to terms with the fact you needed to show off some skin to be able to use your quirk freely but you could admit it was a little much, pushing at the boundaries of what was allowed. You kept meaning to update it but you hadn’t had time to sit down with anyone to draw up some designs. Maybe something a little less revealing next time round and with chain mail.
“Are you even listening to me” you bosses angry voice had you looking away from the photos and toward the visibly distressed looking man. “It’s not that bad” you shrugged. You had been lucky it was last night someone had seen the three of you and not two nights ago when Katsuki had fucked you against a wall, Shoto pinned under you as you jerked him off. Now that would have been a PR nightmare that they probably wouldn’t have been able to get out off.
“Not...not that bad? Oh god please tell me you aren’t sleeping with Deku as well” you scrunched you’re face up in disgust, the thought alone making you feel sick. It’s not that Deku isn’t attractive, the guy was smoking hot but you could never see him as anything other than the adorable little brother type. “Eww no! Why would you even say that? That’s just wrong” your voice is getting louder, the sound of people walking out side reminding you that you were still in the office and there was a whole room of people beyond that were just itching to know what was going on inside.
Taking a deep breath you tried to calm yourself down. Making a scene would just make the situation worse and you couldn’t really afford that right now.
“What do you expect me to think when you are cheating on the two biggest hero’s in this agency with the other” he snapped at you and just like that nothing was okay anymore.
Leaning forward in your chair you glared at him. “I am not cheating on anyone” you growled out, voice low and dangerous but he either didn’t notice or didn’t care. “That’s not what it looks like”.
Huffing you slumped back in the chair, crossing your arms across your chest as you tuned to look out the windows. “It’s not cheating if they know” you mumbled before you could stop yourself. You froze instantly, waiting to see if your boss said anything but thankfully he just carried on talking, ignoring what you had said. You relaxed, glad that he was too caught up in his rant to pay what you had said any attention.
The three of you had decided when you started this to keep it out of the public eye. Sure your old classmates knew, none of you having hid your relationship whilst still at school, but that was different. They knew you, accepted that despite how strange it was, it worked for you three. The public wouldn’t be so understanding.
“Did you even stop to consider how this would reflect on the company, your rankings?” He hiss, slamming a hand down on the desk.
Slowly you turned to look at him, an unimpressed look on your face. “I really couldn’t care less about my rankings” You sounded bored even to your own ears. He spluttered at the comment but nothing you had said was untrue. You had never cared about your rank, only even applying for a hero licence because Shoto had suggested it. You hadn’t actually thought you would get it, especially as you had still been considered a villain at the time. But you had gotten it and taken it as a sign to try and repent for your past actions, focusing on doing what was right instead of what was popular, your current rank of seven a happy by product of your actions.
“What about there’s? Did you even stop to consider how this will affect them? What you have done to their carriers?” His words stung. Anger bubbling up inside at his implication. You grit your teeth, hands curling around the arms of the chair as you tried to keep yourself in check but it was becoming harder with every word the other man said.
“The scandal. We need to get someone in here to fix this mess before it gets out of hand. You will have to choose one of them to be...” you tuned out his words, your mind stuck on that one word and not really paying attention to its context. Chose.
People had been asking you to choose one of them for years now and every time you refused. It wasn’t that simple, never had been. From the moment you met them you had been torn between the two, each of them appealing in their own way. Even when they had been competing for your affection, trying to get you to pick one of them you had refused. Turning what would have been dates into group activities for the thee of you until the time came for you to suggest a three way relationship and them two to realise that actually they were okay with that.
No you wouldn’t chose. Couldn’t chose. Your love for them equal and unwavering. It was both of them or nothing at all. You would rather had over your hero license than make that decision.
“No” you forced out between gritted teeth, looking the stunned man dead in the eye. “I beg your pardon” he stuttered out. Slowly you stood glaring at him as you rested your hands on the edge of his desk and lent forward.
“I said no” you kept your voice as level as you could but there was no doubt that you were angry now. “You have to. What are people going to think if you just.” you cut him off, raising your voice as you got even angrier. “I couldn’t give two shits what other people think. It’s my god damn life and I will do with it what I want”. Your nails scrapped against the desk as you curled your hands into fists, your body shaking as you tried not to lash out. But you weren’t the only one getting angry now.
“Don’t be so stupid. You’re a hero everything about your life is controlled by the public” he spat his angry words at you and you sneered back. “Who I choose to spend my time with has nothing to do with them”. Your yelling now, your voice carry and you know they must be able to hear you outside of this office but you really don’t care. Who was he to tell you what you could and couldn’t do in your personal life, it was called personal for a reason after all.
“I couldn’t give two shits what you or any of them extras think about me and I will never apologise for my relationship with either of them”. You were shaking, pointing at the photos still on the screen. Your bosses’ mouth hung open slight a look of shock on his face at your outburst.
Before either of you could say anything else you spun on your heals and stormed from the room, the door banging into the wall as you flung it open.
Everyone in the office froze, watching as you stalked through the rows of desks until you made it to yours. You yanked your jacket off the back of the chair as you stormed past, the damn thing tipping over in your haste. Normally you would have stopped to pick it but not today, you really didn’t give a fuck about anything else right now apart from getting out of this place.
“Where the hell do you think you are going?” Your boss yelled at you as you continued on your way across the office, people scrambling to get out of your way. “Patrol!” you screamed back not even bothering to look back at the man. Angrily you jabbed at the lift call button, annoyed that you would have to wait. “Like hell you are” His voice was closer now, the man probably half way across the office by now. Thankfully the lift chose that moment to arrive, the ding sounding loud in the otherwise quiet room. You yanked your jacket on as you stalked into the small space. “Try and stop me” you growled, glaring out into the room as you jabbed at the close door button.
No one did and as the doors closed and the lift started to descend you let out a deep breath, a shaking hand coming up to push your hair back as what you had just done fully hit you. You were so getting fired.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Sighing you looked down at the people mulling around on the street below, watching as they went about their lives as if your world wasn’t crumbling down around you.
You had tried to go on patrol but it had only lasted a few hours. People that had been gushing over you just yesterday now throwing insults at you instead. They were treating you worse than a villain, calling you things that had you blushing in shame. People were avoiding you, moving out of your way and whispering as you walked past. Though some weren’t really whispering, talking so loud that you could hear every sordid and derogatory thing they said about you.
You had thought about going back to the agency but you couldn’t bring yourself to face the people there after how you had acted this morning. Not to mention Shoto and Katsuki would have started work by now and you really didn’t want to face them. Because of you their secret was out and you really couldn’t deal with their disappoint right now on top of everything else.
Your phone pinged next to you and you glanced down at it, the home screen full of texts, missed calls and social media updates. You had spent some time sat up here scrolling through all your social media accounts and news feeds, pointedly ignoring your friends. On the plus side Shoto and Katsuki had come across pretty well, everyone painting them as the victims of your lustful ways or the two luckiest bastards alive because they got to fuck you. The public’s opinion of them had gone up anyway, their fans filling their social media accounts with love and understanding.
Yours on the other hand was overflowing with hate, everyone and their dog getting in on the action. Every new comment lit up your phone informing you that ZerosGirl had called you a slut or IcyHotsQueen thinks you are a two timing bitch who deserves to be hit by a bus. Almost every minuet a new one would pop up and you knew that you should disable notifications. Knew that none of these people had a clue about what was really going on but their words still hurt. Cutting deep to fears and worries you hadn’t even realised you had till now.
Katsuki liked to throw the word slut around sometimes when you were going at it and in the heat of the moment you revelled in it but now faced with reality of what people thought maybe it ran deeper than that. Maybe the fact you had been so determined to have both men did make you a slut, a whore. A selfish indecisive bitch who was going to drag two amazing men down into the gutter with you.
Fuck it was all so messed up. You had been so happy last night, loving life and the two men that had made it worth living. But now it was all just a car crash. People actually hated you and all because you had been caught kissing two men in the space of an hour. It didn’t help that they were hero partners and two of top up and coming heroes in Japan at the moment, only being beaten out by Deku.
Your reputation would probably never recover, people already questioning how many other heroes you have slept with. The answer was a resounding zero but no one would probably believe you. You were also probably getting fired in the morning and would most likely get lynched if anyone saw you down in the street any time soon. Maybe now would be a good time to take a step back. Put some distance between you, Shoto and Katsuki. After all they would be able to salvage their reputations from this, even more so if you weren’t around.
Your phone started to ring, loud and abrasive in the relative silence off the roof you were hiding on. It was Katsuki this time. Him and Shoto had been taking it in turns to call you for the last couple of hours but you hadn’t answered, letting them fill up you voicemail instead. Shifting you silence the ringing, sending Katsuki to go yell at your answer machine instead.
Leaning forward you rested your elbows on your knees and looked down at the busy street below. Your legs swung slightly in the abyss, the sudden drop down not bothering you. It was only twenty stories, you had fallen further before.
The door behind you flew open and slammed against the wall, the sound of metal hitting brick loud and echoing but you didn’t flinch. Didn’t even move. You knew they would find you soon enough.
“Hey! It’s rude to ignore people” Katsuki yelled at you. You didn’t have to see him to know that he was pissed, the anger was clear enough in his voice. You listened as he stomped his way across to you, a lighter set of footsteps fallowing behind.
Wordlessly Shoto climbed up onto the ledge, carefully sitting next to you whilst Katsuki lent forward to look over the edge. “You know how fucking long it took to find you” he grumbled. It was a rhetorical question but you couldn’t help but snark back.
“Clearly not long enough” you snapped, sitting up straight and rubbing your hands against your cold legs. Shoto shuffled closer, pressing his side against you and placing his hand over yours. Heat radiated off him and you sighed, sinking into him. You hadn’t realised how cold you had gotten until the option for warmth presented itself.
“We were worried” Shoto’s soft and steady voice was calming and soothing. Instantly you felt like shit knowing you had made them worry. They probably had their own shit to deal with and here you were making things that much worse for them. “I’m sorry” you whispered, never lifting your eyes from the street below.
Those two words held so much more than just an apology for ghosting them. It was a plea for forgiveness, an apology for your actions that had gotten you all in this position in the first place. All of this was your fault and they deserved to have you begging. Silent tears ran down your face after hours of trying to keep them at bay, everything finally becoming too much for you.
Cool fingers gripped your chin gently, turning your head and tipping it back slightly so you could look up at Shoto. Mix matched eyes started down at you that somehow managed to be so serious yet tender at the same time. “You have nothing to apologise for”. He sounded so stern, not leaving any room for you to argue despite how much you wanted to.
Sucking in a deep breath your body began to shake as you threw yourself forward, burying your head in his shoulder as you began to sob in earnest. He wrapped his arms around you holding you tight as you let it all out. You felt Katsuki climb up behind you, pushing his front against your back and wrapping his arms around your waist. He rested his head on your shoulder, murmuring to you as he tried to calm you down. “It’s okay love. Let it all out. It all be okay. We got you” his normally harsh voice was soft and full of love, each word making your love for the man swell.
You had never felt so safe, so loved as did when you were in their arms. The two of them wrapped around you and holding you tight like if they let go you would vanish into the atmosphere. It was heaven to you and you didn’t think you would ever be able to live without it now that you knew what it felt like.
Eventually you stopped crying, hiccupping gently as you sucked in deep breaths. You shuffled back slightly, Katsuki moving back to give you room. You looked up at Shoto to find him smiling down at you softly and you couldn’t help but smile back.
Sighing you lent back, resting your head on Katsuki’s shoulder and your fingers intertwining with Shoto’s in your lap. Katsuki kept one warm hand over your stomach, his glove covered fingers gently rubbing at your exposed skin.
The three of you sat there in silence for a moment, all of you looking out across the city and the lights that seemed to dance in the moon light. It was a beautiful view and one of your favourite places to stop when on night patrols. They would have known you would come here, clearly giving you space to sort through your own thoughts.
“How bad is it?” You didn’t really want to know but you suppose it was better to get it over and done with. You felt Katsuki shrug and you tipped your head slightly to get a better look at him. He was still looking out over the city, his face soft and open. “Could be worse” he looked down at you after he spoke, his vermillion eyes boring deep into you. “It’s nothing we can’t handle” He sounded so sure, determined not to let this get the better of him. “Together” Shoto supplied his voice just as confident as the other mans.
Smiling you turned to look at him, squeezing gently at his hands. How had you been so lucky to end up with these two amazing people in your life? You didn’t deserve them but you were content to carry on being selfish and keep them all to yourself, public opinion be damned. “Together” you repeated Shouts words back to them, a new sense of determination filling you.
“There’s my kitten” Katsuki whispered before placing a gentle kiss on your cheek and you couldn’t help but giggle. The sound quickly died on your lips though as your phone dinged once more, signalling a new batch of hate waiting for you. You didn’t move to pick it up but Shoto did, frowning at whatever he saw there. Grunting he passed the phone to Katsuki, the other man growing then cursing softly at what was on there.
“Fucking worthless extras” he hissed, fiddling to turn your phone of as it dinged again. He slipped the thing into his pocket once it was off, knowing full well you would read everything on there once he gave it back and they were gone.
“What are we going to do?” You asked softly, tipping your head back to look at Katsuki. He flicked his eyes over to Shoto before looking back down at you and you knew they had already made some sort of decision between the two of them.
“We knew we wouldn’t be able to keep it a secret forever” you turned to look at Shoto as he spoke, Katsuki humming his agreement. “We are lucky we lasted this long considering how, uh, reckless we have been” Shoto flushed slightly, looking a little embassies. Behind you Katsuki laughed, bending down she he could talk directly into your ear. “What he means is that we should have gotten caught ages ago considering all the public places we keep fucking in” he nipped at your ear and you couldn’t help but shiver slightly.
Shoto glared at the other man and Katsuki laughed once more before pulling away again to allow the other man to talk. “What I mean is that we are lucky it was only photos of us kissing that have surfaced” he sounded annoyed but you knew it was directed at Katsuki. How the two of them managed to get through a whole day without getting into a fight still amazed you.
“We spoke to Tanaka and he assured us that he can work with this but he does require one thing from you” Shoto looked down at you and you let out a huff, letting go of his hands to cross your arms over your chest, already anticipating what was coming.
“I’m not choosing” you grumbled and most definitely not pouting. Katsuki chucked, shifting slightly so he could wrap both his arms around your middle and pull you a little tighter against him. “No one’s asking you to love” he said, voice light before he nuzzled into the crook of your neck, placing gentle kisses against the exposed skin.
Confused you looked up at Shoto only to find the man blushing a look of worry about him. “No. He, ugh, he thinks that if you and us were seen together it would, umh, it would give the impression that the three of us are, um, that we are”. Katsuki groaned lifting his head to glare at the other man. Instantly Shoto stopped speaking, his mouth closing with an audible click. You arched an eyebrow at him in questioning, concerned as to what had this normally cool and collected man stumbling over his words.
“What this idiot was try to say is have dinner with us on Friday”. You looked up at Katsuki in confusion, eyes darting from him to the other man as you tried to piece everything together. Abruptly you sat up, pulling yourself out of Katsuki’s grip. “Like a date?” You asked dumbfounded.
He scowled at you, clearly not impressed with your confused tone. “No like a business meeting. Of course like a date you idiot” he snapped at you, huffing and folding his arms over his chest.
“Huh” you tapped your finger against your lips as you thought about his words. The last time the three of you had gone on a date had been back at U.A and that hadn’t exactly gone to plan. But that had been years ago now and all three of you had matured since then and if you were going to go public with your odd little relationship you would have to be seen out together more in these sort of situations. Plus it would be nice to force the idiots to dress up nicely and to be on their best behavior.
Smiling you lent forward placing a soft kiss on Shoto’s cheek before leaning over and doing the same to Katsuki. “I would love to go on a date with the two of you”. Both of them smiled, seeming to lose some of the tension they had been holding.
Shoto lent forward, cupping your cheek and kissing you softly on the lips. “I am glad” his lips brushed against yours as he spoke, both of you smiling like idiots. “Yeah because Tanaka already booked a table” Katsuki wrapped his arms tight around you waist pulling you tight against him as he spoke before place lots of little kisses across the side of your face.
Your laughter rang out into the night air, Shoto joining in as his fingers found your sides, gently tickling you and causing you to squirm in Katsuki hold.
The day you had been dumped into U.A truly had been the best thing that had ever happened to you and all because it had put these two extraordinary men in your path.
Yes your life was a mess right now and it seemed like half the population hatted you but as long as you had these two men by your side you know that everything would work out alright in the end.
