Chapter 1: Serendipity

Chapter Text

Katsuki let out a long sigh before pushing himself up off the couch. “I told you, I’m playing with Izuku next!”

Shouto shot up within seconds so he was eye level with him. “We agreed. It’s my turn next. You already lost and died first in the quads… As usual.”

Katsuki crossed his arms tightly across his chest. “If people didn’t fucking camp at spawn I wouldn’t have this problem.”

Eijiro choked. “I never have that problem.” And Katsuki could tell he was smirking.

The only thing lighting their living room was the brightness from their TV. The only sounds were guns firing and Izuku and Eijiro screaming things at each other.

“Fifty clicks!” Izuku exclaimed.

“I got you, I got you.” Eijiro sat forward and Katsuki couldn’t help but smile.

He’s in full gamer mode… No fucking around when you sit forward...

Izuku almost jumped up from his spot on the floor. “Oh my God, last circle, last circle!!!”

“Zuku, calm down, we’ve got this. Check the bodies. Four left.”

“Six people are spectating me… I’m gonna-why does it take me forever to check a bag when we’re almost at the en-shit! On the hill!”

A few moments later, Eijiro and Izuku were laughing and high fiving. “First again.” Izuku smiled.

Eijiro flopped back on the floor. “We never miss.”

“My turn! My turn to play with Zuzu!” Shouto pouted.

“Tsk.” The princess always gets what he wants… It’s my fault for spoiling him. “Fine.”

Eijiro got up and handed the controller to Shouto. He leaned up on his tiptoes and planted a gentle kiss on his cheek. “Thank you!” He chirped, plopping himself down on the floor cross-legged next to Izuku.

Katsuki watched Eijiro sit down on the couch, and before long he was looking up at him through thick lashes.

“What?”

Eijiro sulked. “Cuddle?”

“You’re always soft after a long day.” Katsuki sat down next to him and held out his arm. “C’mere.”

After they’d all showered and gotten into their pyjamas, Katsuki did his usual routine of preparing his partner’s meals for the next day, and as per routine, everyone slowly appeared in the kitchen. Shouto reached over his shoulder and peeped at the stove. “Soba please?” He whined.

“Not again.” Katsuki sighed. “How many fucking times do I have to tell you, you need a balanced diet.”

Shouto rested his head on Katsuki’s shoulder. “But…”

Katsuki got back to pottering around the kitchen, and Shouto followed him. “No buts. I want you healthy and happy, always.”

“How can you say that in the most bland tone ever yet still seem so sweet?” Shouto cooed.

“Shut up and go do your skincare routine or you’ll be whining when you break out.” Katsuki wrapped an arm around him and guided him in the bathroom’s direction. But just as soon as he’d gotten rid of Shouto, Izuku was hanging off him. “Let me help, let me help.”

“No.”

“But you always do it all for us! I wanna help!” Izuku whined.

“It makes me happy to do this for you. It’s my responsibility to make sure you’re all healthy.”

“Cute.” Izuku chirped, turning on his heels and heading for the other room. “Can I have two boiled eggs please?”

“Of course.”

Before bed, Katsuki walked through the house and made sure everything was locked up and done for the night as he always did. He peered into their main bedroom and saw Eijiro with Shouto resting peacefully on his chest. Katsuki watched for a moment while Eijiro ran his hands through Shouto’s hair and smiled. Cute. Eijiro opened his eyes sleepily and mouthed the words ‘I love you’ to Katsuki before he rolled over and pulled Shouto into his chest. He smiled, the Alpha in him purring. Where’s the other one...

He caught Izuku leaning over his laptop in the darkness of the living room.

“Izuku?”

He suddenly spun around, his face lit up. “Kacchan!”

“Come on, let’s go to bed.” Katsuki went to reach for his hand, but instead he had a laptop forced into his face.

“Look!” He held it out even closer to his face. “It’s a new All Might figure… With a special edition costume.”

Katsuki’s eyes adjusted to the light of the laptop while Izuku continued to ramble. “Oh wow! It’s from that rescue he did when the boat sank off the coast. Shit, it even has the tears from when his cape got caught on the chairs on the deck.”

“If you keep being good, Daddy will get us both one.” Katsuki smirked. “If you don’t behave. Then I’ll just get myself one.”

Izuku snickered. “You know, I make my own money. I could just buy myself one…” He closed the laptop. “But that would take all the fun out of being good for you.”

Katsuki sighed. “You’re always so good for me.” He took him by the hand. “Come on. Bed. They’re waiting for us.”

Izuku yawned and took his hand. “Okay.”

“Shou-chan is already drifting off… You’re gonna have to climb over him if you want your spot.” He listened to Izuku’s light footsteps behind him.

“You always make me sleep in the middle…” Izuku whined.

“Yeah, so you don’t sneak out and suffer alone when you can’t sleep and get anxious.”

“I don’t do that.” He huffed.

“The amount of times I’ve found you in the weirdest places in this apartment at night isn’t even funny…”

“Hm.”

“That’s what I thought. Come on.” He put his hand on the small of Izuku’s back and led him into the bedroom. “Get in.”

“Okay.” He yawned, crawling in the bed next to Shouto and instinctively tangling their limbs together. Shouto let out a content sigh and wrapped Izuku up in the blankets, and by the time Katsuki joined them, everyone was yawning and drifting off. Katsuki was just about to fall into a dreamless sleep when Shouto turned over to face him. “Hey…”

“I thought you were asleep already.” Katsuki whispered.

“Well… I was thinking…”

Katsuki pinched the bridge of his nose. “Oh, God… Not this again…”

“Do you… remember what Shinsou said?” Shouto flushed.

“Yeah.” Eijiro suddenly spoke up.

Katsuki smiled. “Oh, now you’re awake.”

“So am I…” Izuku hummed.

He yawned. “What about it, Halfie?”

Shouto buried his face into the pillow. “Am I the only one who can’t stop thinking about it?”

Eijiro pulled the covers up over his head. “No…”

Izuku scooted closer to Shouto, as far away from Katsuki as he could get. “I-I can’t forget about it either.” he whispered in Shouto’s ear and he wrapped his arms tightly around Izuku. Of course, Katsuki heard everything, though.

Fuck… We’re gonna end up doing this... He sucked in a sharp breath. But it’s my job to make them happy, after all… And it wouldn’t be so bad to see purple hair put in his place… by me. He couldn’t help but smile at the thought.

Katsuki sighed, pulling up the blankets and ensuring everyone was covered up. “We work tomorrow. Go to sleep. We’ll talk about it later.”

“... Okay.” Eijiro sighed. “Love you.”

“Love you.” Izuku copied.

Shouto yawned. “Love you.”

“I love you too, now shut the fuck up and go to sleep.” Katsuki ordered, and with that, the room fell silent, with nothing but the sound of quiet breaths filling the air as they all drifted to sleep.

Early the next morning Katsuki opened his eyes. His first instinct when he woke was to check the bed for everybody, and Eijiro was already gone. His spot was cool when Katsuki ran his hand over the sheets. Banging from the kitchen alerted him to where he was. Katsuki smirked, the aromatic smell of breakfast cooking and coffee brewing filling his nose. He’s so good for us.

Katsuki climbed out of bed, making sure not to disturb Shouto or Izuku, who’d wrapped themselves up together in a blanket burrito, as they did every night. He yawned and rubbed the sleep from his eyes before going to find Eijiro in the kitchen in nothing but his underwear, humming and buzzing around as he did every morning.

Eijiro smiled when Katsuki came up behind him and kissed his cheek. “Good morning.”

“G’morning.” Katsuki yawned.

“Your clothes are laid out, I’ve packed everyone’s lunches already. I’m just waiting for the rice cooker.”

Katsuki wrapped an arm around his neck and pulled him close. “Thank you.” He kissed his ear before wandering to the bathroom to get changed.

After he’d finished washing up, Izuku and Shouto sat at the island in the kitchen rubbing sleep from their eyes. I swear this is the only time they’re quiet.

“Coffee…” Shouto whined before letting his head fall straight onto the counter with a loud bang. “Never mind. I’m going back to sleep.”

Eijiro sighed and slid a large mug of black coffee over to him. “Alright, drama queen. Triple espresso, as always.”

Shouto snapped his head up and grabbed the cup as if he hadn’t drunk for weeks. “God bless you.” He breathed before tipping his head back and taking a long mouthful.

“He’s a saint…” Izuku whined when Eijiro handed him his cup.

Katsuki rolled his eyes and planted himself down next to them, taking his own cup of coffee.

“The last time I had a good sleep was when I was in my mother’s womb.” Shouto sighed. “I can’t wait for when I get reincarnated.”

Eijiro came up behind him and kissed his hair, putting a plate down in front of him. “Stop being so dramatic and eat this.”

Izuku snapped his head up, eyes lighting up while he waited for his plate.

“Thank you for the food!” They all said in unison. And Katsuki smiled. Pride welling up within him.

Everyone ate in silence, each of them checking their emails and getting ready to start the day. They rarely talked much in the mornings, but they spent all day together anyway, so none of them really minded. They soaked up the quiet times before the long day ahead.

“You know… From the moment I woke up, all I could think about was what Shouto said last night…” Eijiro flushed, not looking up from his plate.

Katsuki looked up from his food and noticed Izuku eying Shouto wearily.

“Out with it.” Katsuki said.

“Well…” Izuku started.

Shouto put down his chopsticks. “I was thinking…”

“What if we did invite them to join us?” Eijiro blurted out.

“Yeah… Like… What’s the worst that could happen?” Izuku suddenly seemed full of energy.

“I mean… Have you SEEN Shinsou?” Shouto’s eyes widened at the thought.

Katsuki got up from the table and tossed his bowl in the sink.

“Well, fuck! Looks like I’m making a call later.”
