Chapter Text
Yamada Hizashi adored his best friend, Shota’s, class this year. The kids were hilarious and determined and they had managed to weasel their way into Shota’s guarded heart…. especially Midoriya Izumi. Hizashi wasn’t stupid, he could see where this was going. But he also knew that Shota wouldn’t do anything that could harm her. Nedzu had been on their side from the moment he had seen it, but he also adored Izumi and wouldn’t allow anyone to do anything to harm her… so Shota would no doubt find himself being watched very carefully.
“Principle Nedzu?”
Hizashi started out of his thoughts and turned to see the very person who he had been thinking of. In the doorway stood Midoriya Izumi, with her mid-back length green curls parted so that the top section was twisted into a bun… a hairstyle that never failed to make Toshinori nostalgic.
“Yes, Midoriya-San?”
“My cousin, who lives in China, has a suggestion. A-Yan’s quirk is called Temporal Connection, when she focuses on an individual, she can then project their past, present and most-likely future. She wants to use her quirk to help us against All for One and the League of Villains.”
Principle Nedzu hummed, a thoughtful glint to his beady eyes before he smirked, “That’s an excellent idea. If you collect your class, class 1-B and the teachers, I’ll gather several heroes who could benefit from this too.”
Izumi’s brilliant viridian eyes lit up, “Hai! Thank you, Principle Nedzu.”
Hizashi turned to face Shota, “Did you know about this?”
He shook his head, “No, but I don’t expect any of them to tell me everything.”

A-Yan turned out to be a Chinese national named Yanli. She was Izumi’s favourite cousin as she had always believed her to be capable of being a hero… even before her quirk had manifested. The two would wrack up their parent’s phone bills with hours upon hours of phone calls before they’d brought the two girls’ laptops to chat through instead… and Yanli was a full 15 years older than Izumi, back their closeness had never faded, even as Yanli began her own life.
“So, let’s get started, shall we?”
Principle Nedzu nodded, “Just so that everyone is aware, the heroes with us today are Endeavour, Hawks, Miruko, Mount Lady, Kamui Woods and several underground heroes that have worked with Eraserhead before.”
Yanli smiled, “Izumi, sit comfortably. We’ll need to keep contact as the scenes play.”
With a nod, the green haired girl hurried over to sit between Shota and Toshinori, dressed in yoga leggings and an artfully baggy sweater. Yanli sat behind her, a hand settled over her to gently rest on her shoulder, “Don’t worry Izumi… I’ll keep you safe, I won’t fail you like I did A-Xian.”
