Hey Everyone.
This is my absolute first Fic I’ve ever posted on here so please be kind. Although I welcome constructive criticism this is mainly an outlet for me to enjoy writing. I’m not looking to write the next great novel so please, give me tips and advice but don’t be frustrated if I don’t change my character development etc. I plan to make this a long series and this fic is actually finished but I’ll still be posting it weekly or even just every few days and gaging reactions so I can tweak it as needed. It is completely self edited so I apologise for all the inevitable spelling and grammar mistakes plus the ever changing tenses, (please point them out).
Also I Started writing this series YEARS ago and back then I had a solid honest to god timeline which has since disappeared into the ether so the year is not so clear for me although I think I throw a few specific dates in there just… don’t read into them too much. Best not pull that thread. Also it was back in a time where I didn’t understand POV so in a couple of the chapters the prospective jumps back and forth from character to character without so much as a how do you do, but it was a lot of writing and it’s definitely understandable just not ideal. Hopefully it doesn’t impact reading too much. The series last fic is endgame and it’s what I’m saving all the main characters for so the first few will be Stiles, Derek, Scott, and family that are TEEN WOLF owned. The rest are OCs. Isaac comes into the next one maybe???
MOST IMPORTANTLY
TRIGGER WARNING!! They are both inebriated in this fic. The consent is dubious because Stiles is underage and both of them are drunk. This is a story. It has been well and truly romanticised and probably wrongly so. DO NOT do this in real life. While I do believe there is a grey area since Dereks judgment is also impaired the point is, as the adult he should never have let himself get in this situation. Stiles shouldn’t either but as the minor the point of not being able to consent is that you don’t fully understand the implications and consequences of your actions and therefore cannot give informed consent. As an adult you do and therefore the onus and blame fall on you. I don’t think there is any situation in real life where this is acceptable and if it has happened to you or someone you know, I encourage you to seek help. Even if you don’t regret it or think it is okay, you should talk to someone you trust to help fully understand the situation before deciding what to do next. In this story I’ve taken a situation that has happened to people I know before and embellished it into a happy ever after (eventually). Despite the fact that to this day they have no bad thoughts and memories of the experience the point is if it had gone wrong (which it most likely will) their lives would have been irrevocably altered for the worst and as minors they didn’t have the understanding to make the decision and take that risk they were taking ethically.
THIS IS FICTION! please, don’t think I advocate this in real life. Honestly I’ve struggled with whether it is even responsible of me to upload this but this is how the story came to me and it doesn’t work any other way. If too many people are offended I will take it down and apologise profusely but the way I see it, to write every character with a golden moral compass is unrealistic and creates no depth. I want my characters to believe what I believe and agree with what I agree with but that is not the way the world works. People are flawed and the issue here is that the fall out for their actions should be more catastrophic than they are but I’ve guided the story to where it is plot protected so they can continue on. Sorry for the rant, and please if this upsets you don’t read it and feel free to share your opinion with me and I will gladly listen and take it into consideration. most of all I hope you enjoy the story.
