Mother Goose's Garden

Summary:

A short poem about the Vinsmoke siblings.

In Mother Goose's garden many plants grow. Each unique with their own lives to live and stories to tell.

Notes:

Back at it with the fan poetry! I really like the Vinsmoke siblings and think they're interesting characters.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Little Lady Lotus Bud.
First to bloom, but never in freedom,
a petal-layered beauty trapped in a gilded cobble pond.
Sugar on pink, poison in pigment,
dripping bitter nectar into the unsuspecting beyond.
Reaching hands, shackled heart,
nestling, snapping, leaving behind an airy bond.

Proud Prince Apple Blossom.
Head held high, staying steady,
regret is not a word in the garden’s dictionary.
Course skin, heart coloured fire,
tomorrow bear fruit planted as a rotten berry.
Paint with blood, cruel like iron,
bask in life to do deeds to bring about the contrary.

Haughty Highness Hyacinth.
Blue to see, but not to feel,
act with the warmth of an unbeating heart.
Static leaf, uncaring sway,
never growing past a winter blackened start.
Make merry, stay plum,
take lightning and make the world shatter apart.

Forever Forgotten Yarrow.
Remembered fondly.

Scornful Sovereign Bay Tree.
Face the wind, hold the line,
live high above the measly grass below.
Strike fast, uproot the weak,
using strength to steal the sunlight and grow.
Snap stem, break the sky,
love is not something for a plant to ever know.

Haha

Plant imagery is fun! Please tell me what you think and ask questions about some of the imagery I used if you want in the comments!
