Ryuunosuke, first born of the current chief of the Akutawaga clan, powerful wilder of a curse named Rashoumon and, unfortunately, deadly sick. Also, an Omega. Even thought his codition as an asset for both battle and bringing more children to the clan were important, the fact he was inevitably doomed to die young had been more than enough to choose him as the anual sacrifice to the deity the Akutawaga clan served respect: The God Tiger. White as snow, covered in black straps, eyes a mix of sunset and the few first rays of sun the early morning brought with them. His father told him it was meant to be an honor, being chosen as the one who would die so the rest could live. Ryuunosuke's sister, Gin, didn't see it that way. But that didn't matter, as Ryuunosuke knew there was no other choice. He reached for his sister, patting her in the head. She looked so small, so fragile, as her eyes met the ones of her older and only brother.
"You can't accept this, Ryu!" Gin cried out, "not without a fight!"
"What good would it bring to our clan if I decimated them? We're already few in comparison," Ryuunosuke argued despasionately. Gin gritted her teeth, shaking her head. "A life without a purpose is not worth living, Gin."
"Your purpose is not to die!" Gin shouted, "I won't let you!" As soon as those words left her mouth, her eyes turned white, her body dropping, unconscious. Ryuunosuke caugth her, or rather the black strings that was his course did, bringing her carefully to the floor. He didn't say it out loud, but his dark eyes, normally vacant of any kind of light or emotion sparkled with sadness, with regret.
"Don't put a single finger on her" the edge of his voice made every single one of the men in the crowd shiver and tense up, "even dead, I'll come for any who dares to hurt my sister."
"No one shall hurt her" the chief assured, Ryuunosuke nodding towards his father after heavy seconds. "Now, come, Ryuunosuke, second of his name, first born, from the Akutawaga clan, our God won't wait forever." Another nod was Ryuunosuke's answer, looking back at his sister one last time. Goodbye forever, Gin.
The next thing Ryuunosuke knew, he was being stabbed right in the middle of his chest. "Not the heart, as it should be intact for the God Tiger to be pleased" and left to die in the farest corner of the Woods. As the Omega closed his eyes, embracing the sweet and cold touch of death, his last thought was of his little sister's smiling face.
