When Ororon lies to Leyla and tells him he's dating Ifa after the boy asks him out to go to their graduation party together, Ifa suggests they start fake dating to cover up his lie.

“you think i haven’t noticed how clean the house is? or how big the radishes have grown in the garden?” ororon feels a flush creeping into his cheeks as ifa’s smirk bores right through his fractured soul. “i know you’ve been working hard while i’m asleep or away at work. you already do more than enough for me. even this, just cutting up a few quenepa berries to go along with my reheated tatacos… you’re perfect. okay?”
“but that won’t help with your workload. you’ll still end up exhausted. maybe i could become an assistant vet like cacucu…?”
“hahaha! no way, bro!”
with all the recent stress piling up post-war, ororon wonders if he's doing enough. ifa reassures him.

He asked the question much in the same way one would react to stumbling upon a dead, dried out hydro slime in the middle of the woods. Initially unrecognizable and vaguely unsettling.
Ororon hardly thought ‘My Arranged Marriage to the Terrifying Frost Knight of the Underworld: But is He Truly as Evil as They Say!?’ warranted the same level of cautious disgust as that example.
