Chapter 1: Little Orphan Boy

Chapter Text

In the day, the human roam the streets, in the night is when the creatures come out to play. The Red Market sells all sorts of things, above and underground, it was no secret by now. And above all the creatures to come out on top were the Vampiric Demons, the Elder Vampires.
Humans lived both in awe and resentment of their new leaders. Though things were better, they were also under fear. It was always hushed when a person went missing, you learn to ignore when a family member goes missing. Or when, on rare occasions, the family member would be found as one of the undead.

Such is the case as one known as Thomas Innit, laying in the bed of the orphanage with an arm over his eyes. Such a tragic, but silent story, of shady deals done by his father, a doctor, and his mother a nurse.
Not much is known, but the rumors paint the picture of the late Doctor Innit not being able to pay up what he promised to a coven leader. And as such was killed by the coven along with his wife. Thomas was only a year old at the time, and how he ended up at the steps of an orphanage when his house burnt down wasn't known. Rumors speculate the coven leader had nothing against the baby boy, and thus spared his life. Others are more dicy and sick than that, but Tommy tries not to pay them any mind.

He has no real memory of his parents, he is without kith and kin. His father had no brothers or sisters, neither did his mother. And no one in the village wanted a child who might have been touched by vampires. Creature families wouldn't touch him, whispers state he's been 'claimed'. Whatever that means, not like much is taught in schools about vampires.
Tommy found he slightly resent vampires though for the predicament he's in. People say he should be grateful they didn't kill him, but Tommy honestly thought dying as a baby would have been better than this lonely existence. But that resentment wasn't very strong, hard to be angry about death if you never knew the people killed.

No, Tommy didn't hold much love for humans either, their cruelty knew no bounds. He was often avoided, some even had taken to calling Tommy 'witch' and among other slurs. The orphanage kids and women tended to leave him alone, mostly when one kid bullied him and he was found to have been in an accident where he almost drowned himself.

Tommy didn't cast a curse, he wasn't sure why the kid suddenly felt the need to go for a swim in the middle of December. But Tommy didn't feel sorry for the asshole, after that though, any hope Tommy had to win some affection was gone.
He sighed looking out the window at the moonlight, he thought about going to visit Niki. She was a fae that ran the place during the day and night, as they didn't really need to sleep. She was very kind to him, and offered him, sweets, when he came by, taking pity on him.

It wasn't horrible at night like some people thought. Humans refused to go out at night, too afraid, they had their world, and rarely do the two cross these lines. Sheep and cattle were what Tommy thought, it was no wonder the Elders took control.
But it also cemented the idea in everyone's head Tommy wasn't human, but he had no real features or real magic, so he was stuck in the human orphanage.

Sitting up once it was dark enough, Tommy slipped out the window and headed down the path. There was no real hurry, not that he'll be missed or stopped. The low light of the marketplace showed up.
Tommy smiled, it was sure pretty at night, creatures of many races and sizes milling about. No one really paid Tommy much mind, getting what they needed, werewolves bought meat, Witches buying potions and ingredients, Tommy wrinkled his nose at the 'skins' for sell for shapeshifter creatures.

He pushed through to the bakery and smiled when he entered. Niki's pointed ears showed and her large pink eyes, a smile just a little too wide. People in town never guessed she was fae, they were able to blend in just fine.

"Tommy." her voice was musical as she spotted him and smiled, showing sharp teeth. "It's good you visited, I was starting to worry." she admits, she hadn't seen the kid in a few days.
"I was being 'grounded' again." Tommy grumbled, "They claimed I caused the kid who stole my cookies from you to fall out the tree."

Niki makes a face, "You have no magic, I don't see why they insist you do." she said to him letting Tommy sit on the stole behind the counter.
Tommy smiles at the fae, Niki was kind to him where others ignored him or were mean to him. She told him a bit about his family too, but Tommy found from how she spoke of them he didn't like them. His father sounded snooty and stuck up, and his mother was a busy body.

Miss Niki could also sense auras and magic, and did confirm to Tommy he was fully human. "Well, I've got a fresh back of chocolate and macadamia nut done, want to sample some?" she offered to him with a wide smile.
Tommy nodded to her, he got free snacks from her as she had him taste-test things. She made sure to tell him certain ones were off-limits as they were Fae Food, she didn't want him to be hooked on it. Tommy wasn't an idiot, he preferred to eat things he liked, so he stared far away from that shelf.

"Gonna be heading to the library again?" Niki asked, "Phil's been asking about you, seems he's also been worried."

Philza was, what Tommy thinks, is a shadow demon of the library. He works there and keeps it running with his two boys, Techno and Wilbur. Techno was clearly a vampire, so Tommy tended to not speak to him, and he wasn't sure who Wilbur was. Phil seems to have adopted them.
"Yeah, Phil is teaching me more math today, should be interesting." Tommy grins at her. He tended to curse less around Miss Niki, as Tommy respected her.

"Well don't stay out too late, humans aren't like us." she chided lightly, but it was all coming from a good place. "And give this to them when you get there." she handed him a large box.

"I won't." he said taking the bag and box from her, "Thanks Miss Niki." he said happily to her waving as he left to the library. Niki waved him off with a soft smile on her face then looked away.

"I hope Phil takes care of you little one," Niki said softly to herself once Tommy was gone. She sighed and headed back to work because if he hadn't already staked his claim, she would have taken Tommy as hers.

The walk to the library was calm, the light of the moon casting over the place as Tommy entered. As soon as he walked in, Wilbur was there grinning at him. "Hey Toms!" he said hugging him.
Tommy squawked at that, "Get off you clingy asshole!" he said trying to push away but Wilbur just laughed and ruffled his hair.

"Been worried for you Gremlin, you alright, those humans treating you alright?" Wilbur asks, there is a glint in his eyes that Tommy couldn't pinpoint.

"Yeah, just blamed me for magic I don't have," Tommy grumbled to him. "Miss Niki wanted you guys to have this also." he handed them the package she gave him.
Wilbur smiles at that, "She always knows when Techno and Phil are craving something from her bakery, thanks, little man."
Tommy grumbles something as he follows Wilbur into the library's main area, Phil looks up from the desk and smiles. "Hello Tommy, been alright mate?" he asks him.

Wilbur sets down the box as Tommy explains why he wasn't here to Phil, the man has a dark look for a moment, but then smiles at the box. "Seems she packed it with Techno's favorites this time," he comments.
Wilbur grumbles at that but does take one of the red cookies and bites into it with a huff. Phil shakes his head fondly at his son, Tommy nibbles on the cookies he had, "Well if you still want to learn, I can teach you math today or Techno has been saying he wanted to teach you history. After all your teachers don't know 'jack shit'?" he smiles at Tommy.

Tommy blinks at that, "Techno wants to teach me?" he asks confused.
Wilbur snickers, "Guess you're growing on him, Toms." he teases him, ruffling the kids hair again as Tommy makes a face.

"You guys talking about me again?" Techno's deep voice comes over as he walks out of the dark halls and over to the desk. He looks at Tommy, before snagging a cookie and hums at the taste.
Phil nods, "We were just telling Tommy you wanted to teach him history tonight." he smiles knowingly at Techno.

The vampire grunts at that, "If you want." he says to Tommy who blinks at that.
Odd, but... Tommy wasn't sure, but at their looks, he smiles, "I mean sure big man, if you want." he says playing it cool.

Techno nods to that, "Let me put up the last of the books then we can start." he tells Tommy as he grabs some more and heads off.
"Don't take it personally." Tommy turns back to Phi who smiles. "He wouldn't have offered if he didn't like you." he promises Tommy with an affectionate, fatherly ruffle of his hair.

Tommy felt warmed at that, he found he liked it when Phil would act as a father to him, it made him very happy. "Alright guys, I'll go wait for him at the usual place," he said he got up and headed down the left aisle

Phil's smile turns fond as he sees Tommy leave, Wilbur whines, "Dad, I want him." he tells him. "These people are so mean to my baby brother."

The older chuckles at that "Soon Wilbur, soon, I promise. Once he's comfortable around Techno, we'll take him in. If all goes well, tonight will be our night." he smiles at his son petting his hair to soothe the others vampire side.
Wilbur lets out a purr at that leaning into his leader's hand. Phil smiles at that, "Just wait Wil, Tommy will be ours soon." he promised him softly.

Chapter Text

Philza didn't remember who he was before the bite. Before he met his sire, one of the first Elder Vampires. Philza was his first kid, his eldest son, bitten and turned at the age of 29. Before that day, well he might have just been a guy, a hunter perhaps for the people. Gathering food and following the herds as they always did. That was ages ago, at the time that was blurry even to him.
Gods he was ancient as fuck, he had many other brothers and sisters. Each of them made up a pillar of the Vampire World. Each of them had their own powers, some even cross-breeding into each other to create new clans.

Phil was there for many things, the rise and fall of empires over the years. The Greeks, Persians, Romans, oh and Alexandra the Great was an interesting man. Phil had seen them all, but none had captured his attention as much as a little soldier boy from the Roman Empire.
Strong he was, fearless in battle, said to be a demigod to some, blessed by Mars. Techno's real name was lost to both of them, but not the day Phil found him on the battlefield.

The 26-year-old man bleeds out on stained grassy plains. The scent of blood strong in the air, as Phil walks over to him. Cold fingers petted the boy's hair, "Do you want me to help you?" he asked the boy gathering him in his arms.
Exhausted from battle, bleeding out, too tired to carry on into the next bloodlust haze. The man's eyes gazed into Phil's own red ones. Gods forgive him for forsaking death, but he felt the 'yes' slip past his lips.

It didn't hurt, the teeth burying into his neck, the venom healing his body rapidly. Having lost already enough blood, the transformation was faster than with his other son. Techno could not bring himself to care, his men left him to die on the field for a chance to tell tales of how the Blood God fell that day.
But Phil held him through the pain, Techno would never say it to others, but he cried for hours in the elder vampire's arms. But slowly grief turned to rage, and Phil could only smile as his son got his spark back.

For a long time, it was just them, Phil teaching Techno all he knew after the destruction of Techno's hometown. Phil loved his son dearly, though Techno got a little embarrassed when Phil would call him as such.
Things were great, and they got better when Techno found the first human he grew an attachment to.

It was around the time of the American Colonies being settled. Traveling to the new world to see what would come of it. And meeting during the revolution a boy named Wilbur, on the run from his area so as not to join the army.
This was how he met Techno, who talked to him about his worries. Wilbur was a man who wanted no part in either side of the war. He liked music and could charm people easily. Techno spoke to Phil often of Wilbur, enough that Phil went to visit the man.

By the time Phil did Wilbur had been enlisted into the Colonist, and was miserable. His fellow soldiers didn't like him but would keep an eye on him so he didn't try and run.
And Phil offered to him an escape, to be his son like Techno, and make his own choices again as part of the coven. Wilbur accepted with no hesitation, willing to give up his humanity, his everything if it meant he could do what he wished. Wilbur was long past loathing his fellow humans and embraced the night with ease.

Phil loved his two sons and would give them the world.

Eventually, he did along with many other vampires, in the late 20's centuries they came out of hiding. And took the world by storm, easily fooling the sheep of humans into thinking they wanted peace.
Creatures of many kinds came out of hiding, and society went from there.

Phil sat at the top with what remained of his own family, some having died due to their own stupidity. Vampire Hunters still remained though, rebel humans who saw through their deceit and lies, but they were a small group. It was easy to trick the masses, cowards that they were.

Things settled into a calmness, and the years passed. Phil enjoyed watching the humans try to pretend that nothing changed, that the things they feared were very real. The things they dressed up as were alive and well.
Wilbur had a few flings, but they always ended up at the feet of the coven to be nothing but food. Techno brought them some humans to be turned into cattle, thralls.

Phil ran a library in his spare time, scouting out with other creatures for some humans that might be nice to have over for dinner. And this was how he kept and eye on the boy named Tommy.
He knew of the boy, the kid's family had pissed off his brother's clan. But as Tommy was a baby at the time, his brother saw fit to gift Tommy to Phil. Phil had wanted another son for a long time.

*Flashback*

In his arms, he looked at the small baby with soft red eyes. Blond hair just like his own, and eyes as blue as his once had been. Phil had settled the fussy baby with ease, and now little Tommy slept in his arms.

"He's so tiny." Wilbur said his chin resting on Phil's lap from where he sat on the floor to peer better at Tommy.
Techno sat across from Phil, "He's still a baby Wilbur, of course, he's tiny." he tells his brother. But Phil could tell Techno was also intrigued by the boy.

"I'll be taking him to the orphanage tomorrow," Phil told them with a fond smile. "He'll grow up there, and once he's old enough, we'll take him in."

Wilbur's eyes gleamed at that, "So you are going to turn him?" he asks a little giddy. Wilbur always wanted a baby brother, and it seems he had already fall in love with the baby in Phil's arms.
Phil nods petting the child's head, "Not now, once he's old enough, but they shall know he's mine." he smirks a bit.

"So you plan to mark him, knowing the humans will shun him for it?" Techno hums at that tilting his head. "This shall turn him against them."
Phil chuckles a bit, "I hope so." he says softly gazing at his soon-to-be youngest son. So small and vulnerable, but would grow up someday to be a predator of the highest kind.

Wilbur smiles at that, "Will he always be called Tommy?" he asks Phil. "Maybe something more powerful of a name?" he tilts his head in thought.
Techno hums, "How about Theseus?" he suggests when Wilbur was thinking. "In my time, it was the name of a hero who was killed by a friend of his. Just as this kid shall be cast away by his human, only instead of dying, he shall come back to kill those who wronged him."

Phil looks thoughtful at that gazing at the infant, then smiles showing fangs. "Theseus." he says as the baby stirs at that. Blue eyes looking at Phil's for a long moment "Our little Theseus." he tells his newest son.

Theseus makes a sound teaching up at Phil, looking at his fangs curiously, and his long golden hair. Phil makes a happy sound at that, ah the innocence of toddlers and babies.
"You're going to be a prince someday Theseus." he told his son as Theseus lets out a giggle at that.

Someday, a few years is nothing to Vampires.

Sorry it's short, but Tommy gets taken next chapter! :D

Chapter 3: A/N

Chapter Text

Hey guys, thought about rewriting this one to the idea I had with Phil has been a vampire hunter that was turned?
Mainly because there are alot of SBI Vampire stories that tend to follow the formula I'm using, and I've sort of just lost the inspiration to write for this one. But I still want to do a Vampire SBI.

Thought I'd ask you guys, should I just discontinue this, or delete this work and start over?
