On the day Theseus Hendrick Mycroft died, no one cried, not even him. He was a despised man, the crown prince only in title. Many would claim he was shunned even by the gods but they would be wrong. See, there is an ancient law that even the gods must listen to, the law of free will. If the mortals walking the earth decided Theseus was unworthy of love then there was little the gods could do to change their minds.
At least, not while he was alive. A fancy little loophole, a favor from Time who adored Theseus just as much as the rest of the gods, and Theseus would live once more, now with divine favor bleeding from his skin. The Kingmaker System would ensure he will live to see the end of his fate, to be the greatest king the world has ever known.
But... a small issue. The morality of the gods is much different than the morality of man and the system was designed with their view of morals and what makes a good king in mind.
The descent into depravity is slow but inevitable.

Tommy puts on a hoodie and gets an old mask and goes to fight crime, he ends up getting more attention then he would like and ends up having both heroes and villains out to get him. Tommy Danger Kraken Innit is completely ultimately screwed.

His dad, the Number two hero Dream, had signed him up to take on three heroes in training when he knew just how much he didn't want to. There were already so many issues with it.
1: Tommy was only 16
2: Tommy hated working with others and was dogshit at it
3: Tommy didn't want to watch them die when he ultimately failed
Icarus had six months to train them, each month more daunting than the last and every mission unveiling more of the truth that was seemingly laying out in the open.
Or, hero Tommy has to learn how to get along with others while also secretly improving himself
!!!The Wilbur in my story is Wilbur Watson because I refuse to support an abuser! Any reference to him is strictly a character and is completely in my hands. Also, I made the initial idea in 2022, way before the Dream and Tommyinnit shit.
