Chapter Text
It was lunchtime at South Park High School when some of the Coon and Friends members sat together to talk about the latest gossip going around.
"Hey, did you see that there's a new kid that moved in this week!" Butters shared with the group as they sat at their table during lunch.
"Yeah, I heard from Wendy that whoever it is has almost zero social media presence to them," Clyde added as he chewed on some school cafeteria fries.
"A-apparently they d-don't talk much e-e-either, I heard some of the girls g-gossiping about it in the halls," Jimmy said, and with all the gossip around the New Kid stirring it was bound to be interesting to get to know more about them.
They were juniors in high school now and it had been years since they had gotten a new face in South Park, this made meeting and befriending the New Kid that much more exciting.
"How much you wanna bet that Cartman is gonna force them to join our shitty Coon and Friends franchise, knowing him that poor New Kid won't even get normal first day," Kyle joked as the rest agreed that it was such a Cartman thing to do.
After joking about it for a bit the conversation drifted off onto a new topic and the boys soon forgot about the New Kid, it wasn't until after school when Cartman sent a message to the superhero group chat about recruiting a new member.
Apparently, he would be introducing you to Coon and Friends tonight in his lair and wanted his team there by 8 pm. He was saying something about having to fill out a whole superhero sheet and someone mentoring the New Kid.
School eventually ended and everyone went home to finish homework and get suited up, the Coon and Friend's entered Cartman's lair only to see Cartman ranting to someone. They couldn't quite place your face due to your hat blocking your eyes from their sight, it seemed like it was on purpose though since you never once moved it from your face while greeting them.
"New Kid, you need to up your followers on Coonsatgram so we can beat those Freedom Pal bitches," Cartman ranted to you as he kept going on about how their franchise was obviously the superior one.
New Kid didn't care at this point, they could see it in the way their mouth didn't ever twitch or expose any of their emotions, you seemed like some kind of statue or robot like that.
You seemed bored with that expressionless look on your face every time Cartman launched into another stupid rant on their enemy franchise. That was until you heard Cartman mention crime-fighting being necessary for this line of work so you needed to be strong, and not a pussy like Clyde apparently.
"So all I need to do is fill out this character sheet and help you guys beat shitty people up?" you finally mumbled surprising everyone there, they never expected to hear you speak all of a sudden.
"I'll help as long as whatever you guys do aligns with my goals but once that stops so does my allegiances, are we good." It was a statement more than it was a question, almost a threat that your loyalty was limited, they did nothing but nod until Cartman suddenly broke out of his astonished stupor.
"Whatever New Kid, as long as we have more followers than those stupid Freedom Pals and their dumbass franchise," Cartman shrugged you off as he pulled out a sheet and began explaining your tragic backstory of your dad fucking your mom, which led you to fight crime as a superhero.
You found it annoying so instead of paying attention to the bullshit Cartman spouted, you decided to greet the other franchise members. Jimmy was a joy to talk to, his jokes were usually a hit or miss but they kept conversations from total boredom. Kyle and Clyde were pretty cool and weren't huge assholes like Cartman either, while Craig, on the other hand, greeted you with a middle finger and nothing else.
Overall you didn't have much complaint about your teammates other than Cartman, but you were still new so you wanted info on who these *Freedom Pals* are and why The Coon had such a strong distaste for them.
"It's getting kinda late New Kid so we'll fill you in on what you should know tomorrow at school, sit with us during lunch and we'll explain everything alright," Kyle told you, at least you wouldn't have to do the cliche bathroom lunch by yourself on the first day.
Maybe tomorrow wouldn't be so bad after all.
