Nelo Angelo looked at the ground and examined the red liquid that was leaving his body, his master had been dissatisfied with him and he did not know why. But it wasn't up to him to question either, when had he last used his voice? Has he ever spoken at all? He didn't know, he only knew his purpose was to serve his lord and master in every way.
"Useless being, why am I keeping you at all?" his master's voice boomed from everywhere and he dared not lift his head, rather watched how the red liquid continued to flow out of him.
He had to blink, the vision blurred before his eyes and he wanted to raise a hand to press it to his wound, only his body didn't obey him. He was locked in this armor and no matter how loud he screamed in his head, nobody heard him. Why did he even want to scream? His master was allowed to do whatever he wanted with him.
His legs gave way and he slumped to his knees and continued to stare at the red liquid - blood - a brief clear thought seized him, only he was gone again quickly.
"Make sure his wounds close!" loud words from his master Mundus and Nelo just had to close his eyes, or did it happen automatically? He didn't know, he just knew he hadn't revealed what his master wanted to know, but why not? What was he hiding from him anyway? He belonged to the Demon King, why didn't he tell him what he wanted to know? - He wasn't allowed to know. - again a clear thought and also his last before he lost consciousness.
Hours or days later, he didn't know. He just knew he couldn't move and he wasn't wearing his helmet, why not? He was never allowed to drop him off, Nelo was forbidden to do so and he obeyed his master. So why wasn't he wearing it? Nelo turned his head and saw his master's torturers. In their hand they were holding something that he couldn't quite identify at first until a clear thought struck him - heart - his heart. They inspected it and Nelo tried to look down on himself, he wasn't wearing his armor. Why not?
Could he even live without his heart? Apparently right? Since he was still there, where would he end up if he was no longer alive? The thought preoccupied him until he had to make a painful hissing sound as the torturers stabbed his heart with a knife.
"Ah, Nelo is awake." a dry comment as the demons approached and inspected him. One of them was still holding his heart in his hand, even pushed the knife deeper, which made Nelo hiss painfully again.
"Where is your child?" was the question that Nelo didn't quite understand. Child? He didn't understand the question and the demons saw that when they sighed and left him alone. A short time later they came back with a small bundle, screaming and defenseless was what they showed him and Nelo still didn't know what the demons were talking about. One of the demons tore the bundle in two and Nelo screwed up his eyes when the blood hit him - it wasn't his - the thought brushed the edge of his mind before it disappeared again.
The demons disappeared again, leaving him alone without the armor, even taking his heart with them. Nelo noticed how he got weaker the further the demons got away and somewhere he was happy about it. Maybe he was allowed to die now? But he wasn't allowed to when he felt something snaking along his arms and legs, blood-red plant-like tentacles. One more monstrous than the other as she turned along his body, shoved into each of his openings, which made him scream inwardly. The pain was unimaginable, so much that he saved himself into unconsciousness again.
Nelo woke up at some point, slowly he opened his eyes and saw his master who looked down at him and examined his body. Nelo followed the gaze and saw how his stomach bulged, something was moving in there.
"Useless." a single word before his master reached out his hand to his stomach and stuck it in, which made him scream if he still had a voice. A single tear ran down his face as his Master withdrew his bloody hand and held something misshapen in his hand.
"Useless. Not useful again, apparently it works differently with hybrids." Words that weren't meant for him when he heard a crack shortly afterwards and the misshapen thing stopped moving. Then his master threw it away carelessly and Nelo couldn't help but just stare at Mundus. What did he miss?
"Keep looking for the child, I want it. Until then ..." Mundus looked at him again and smiled confidently. "until then we'll keep trying. At some point I'll get my will."
Nelo just closed his eyes and opened them another time. The tentacles were everywhere again and he saw a riot near him and he felt something big demonic behind him. Shortly afterwards he felt something thrust into him and he hissed in pain. His body tried to adjust to the size, but it didn't really work. It was so painful that he finally even whimpered when the demon started to move, using him as he wanted.
At a later time again his stomach was round and Mundus took the something that was growing there and killed it shortly afterwards in frustration. - child - His head could finally tell after an eternity what his master wanted from him. He wanted a child, but apparently he couldn't please him. Nelo felt sad, was it just because of the child or because he couldn't please Mundus? - Nero - a short word roamed through his head and Nelo closed his eyes - safe - the thought that followed shortly afterwards.
"We have tried everything Master, he is not suitable. Apparently it only works with his twin." Nelo instinctively kept his eyes closed and continued to breathe shallowly, hoping not to be noticed that way.
"Then he won't be of any use to me here, send him to the Infernal Gate. Let Nelo make himself useful there." Words of his master and shortly afterwards he noticed how the presence of his master disappeared and he felt how his armor was put on again.
Nelo Angelo was in a castle, doing his security duty there when he noticed how it was attacked. A white-haired person slaughtered himself through the other demons in the castle, Nelo himself went to get his sword. Anticipation, a feeling that was unknown to him for a long time seized him as he went into his rooms and took up his sword. He stopped in front of the large mirror and looked into it, something made him reach out his hand to the mirror before he let his armored fist struck into it, furious. The shards of the mirror fell to the ground and Nelo stared into it, he could see many twisted faces there... Mundus, other demons and again the white-haired human. Why? Why did he see him in the shards? - kind -
A pain seized him and he grabbed his chest. Something was wrong, he could feel it and that was something that irritated him, normally he didn't perceive any feelings. Then why was he happy? Why did he hurry to get to the white-haired one? Nelo stopped again in front of a mirror, his master loved to see his face in it, that's why many stood around in the castle because of it.
But now he starred in the mirror, and saw the reflection of himself in his armor. He didn't even know what he looked like without a helmet and armor, had he even known that? He reached out for the mirror, put his hand on the glass. "D ..." left his lips, the first sound in years or decades that wasn't a painful sound.
"Nelo, what are you standing around here? Take care of the intruder!" Griffon's words and Nelo stared at the general for a while before he nodded slightly and hurried away. - Get rid of him, kill him. How come? Why should he do that? - The thoughts spread in his head, before he grabbed his chest again with a hiss.
"KILL HIM! DESTROY HIM!" Mundus had invaded his mind and Nelo nodded. He would obey his master's command, after all he wanted to do everything the master asked of him.
Why had he even thought for a second not to listen to his master's words? Nelo collected himself, concentrated, he would do anything to protect his master who was currently also here in the castle. The sorcerers prepared a ritual, so there was a lot going on in the castle and he was also on guard duty, not like usual in the throne room, close to his lord and master.
He would carry out Mundus' orders, come what may.
