Eri was scared...
Why?
That's what she was thinking as she ran through the alleys a little clear in the afternoon light, soon she started to hear various sounds and loud noises from where she had just run, explosions, cracks, screams and more sounds was what she could hear from behind her
Why?
She had only spoken to one person...
She had just run away and bumped into someone...
And it was costing him several lives
She had just met a blonde with gentle blue eyes as she fled away from the one she feared most, so she gave him a small object that she didn't know what it was but kept it from Overhaul's sight, and soon she was gone. subjected to more and more pain until one morning everything changed

She didn't know what was going on one more thing the poor child knew, it was her fault, she was the cause of so many people being in trouble, she was the cause of the heroes getting hurt, they were hurting themselves to save her and she couldn't do anything
She just saw that now she had been carried by one of the bird mask guards, she was afraid of that mask, it reminded her of him, Overhaul, the one who said it was all her fault...and it was.

She remembers, she was caught in a kind of battle between heroes and blue-clad guards who were holding guns that made a lot of noise.

Eri looks a little further up and sees that on his face was a smiling mask with small red drops at its edge, and right at his feet was... was a body of a grown man wearing a coat covered in blood
The figure in front of him suddenly takes a cigarette out of his pocket and then lights it with a small lighter, then he finally turns around and sees the little child looking at him with fear and terror.
‘A child? He thinks, What is she doing here?
He takes a step forward putting the gun on his back causing Eri to recoil in fear, then he stops and sees his state and then a big explosion happens behind the buildings making Eri jump in fear and try to hide even more
The masked man seeing his reaction just bends down and takes a small drag on his cigarette "Did you come from there?" He asks pointing to where possibly the sounds were coming from and is answered with a little nod from the child
He takes a long breath and gets up, "I can take you to a safe place, you weren't even close to a fight between hero and villains anyway, what were you doing here?"
He doesn't get any answers, she just starts to shake, he sees it tries to speak more and stops.
"SHE GOES HERE, FAST"
"Damn it's a good thing we managed to lose the heroes, ha ha"
Soon several voices echo through the alleys behind Eri, And of course she recognized them, she began to cry in despair knowing she couldn't run away anymore
The masked man seeing his reaction and hearing the steps more and more self just put the cigarette in his mouth through the mouth of the mask and I start walking slowly towards the sound
"I don't know who you are, but if you want to be safe and better stay behind me" He speaks confidently, and Eri seeing that she didn't want to disobey him by his way of speaking just obeyed him and got behind his legs
Soon three men arrived wearing bird masks and saw the masked figure and little Eri behind her and soon positioned themselves, so what appeared to be the head of the trio just stepped forward. “Hey, I don't know who you are anymore and better leave the girl with us"
The masked person perceives your tone threatening but doesn't back down
"And for what reasons should I do this" He says puffing on his cigarette again, the boss just gives a cocky smile and speaks
"If you give her to us, we won't have to kill him" He speaks while turning his fingers into sharp blades
The masked man, seeing through his fingers mask, just blows out the cigarette smoke in a sigh.
"...I think you'll have to kill me" He speaks and then quickly tries to pull his rifle off his back, the boss seeing this just smiles behind the bird mask and runs at great speed towards the shooter, his comrades just stand back and watch his boss attack the masked man and fleece being shredded by his blades
The Boss who was a few centimeters away soon raises his hand and swipes at the masked man's head. "You're too slow" he yells, making Eri grab and close his eyes even more in the shooter's feather
The shooter seeing that he was too close just moves his hand at great speed and smacks his hand making it change the trajectory of his blow causing him to fall to the side in a pile of garbage
"W-what...Damn you, you were lucky next time I'll-"

That's all the man heard before he saw that the gun barrel was pointed at his head, he just shivered and looked at his face, he could only see two green orbs behind the mask.
"You're too slow" That's what he heard before a big "Bang" echoed through the alley, the noise was loud but was soon drowned by the big fight that was taking place behind the buildings
"wh-what?!" The sniper turns around and sees the boss's two companions get into a fighting position "He's damn strong"
Soon One of them just put his hand in the trash and took a piece of pipe that soon deformed and reformed a Katana, the other crouched and took a big jump and stepped on the walls of buildings making it change its trajectory several times, the shooter seeing his powers he put his hand in front of Eri who was curled up hugging his leg and pulled it further away to keep it safe
Soon the sniper heard a big thud and then looked over his shoulder only to see that the guy who had jumped through the walls was now blocking his way out of the alley.
"Damn" He sighs as he uses two fingers to take out his cigarette and toss it to the ground and then step on it.
He looks ahead and sees that the first one to attack her would be the Katana's portal that soon ran towards him, the sniper gives Eri a small look and then says
"Keep your eyes closed" after a miserable second he pushes her to the side causing her to give a little scream, then the Shooter uses his rifle as a shield and defends himself against the blade and seeing that it would be dangerous if the man ended up damaging the weapon he used to dodge the blow and then he did the same thing he did with his first victim, he threw it to the side in one simple move but the man wasn't slow and soon recovered quickly giving a vertical blow with his blade forced the sniper back as he pushed Eri to the side causing her to unglue her leg and fall to the side, then she opens one eye only to hear the masked man again
"I told you not to open your eyes" He says making her close her eyes quickly, The Man now seeing that he had separated the two wasted no time and advanced towards Eri who didn't see him coming, but was interrupted by an auto sound of shot that made him recoil, and soon he saw the bullet coming towards him and then he cut it in the air
‘He has great reflexes’ The shooter think
Seeing now that shots would have no effect the sniper had another idea, the two henchmen now seeing that they had the advantage over the masked sniper just laughed
"I said you were supposed to give it to us, now you're going to die" He says throwing a new newly formed Katana to his partner who was behind, then they just see the man take a box of cigarettes from his pocket and see the light one, then he just takes a drag on his cigarette and looks at both of them "You guys are annoying"
Then again he fired, Katana's portado just chuckled and just like the previous one he cut her in half again, he looked forward to attack now sooner something hits his neck then he feels a liquid run down his mouth and neck 'O ...what?'
He puts his hand on the wound and sees a knife "A...throwing knife?" Where...he got it...no, he hid it' soon he looks ahead and sees the shooter with his hand outstretched forward while it was possible to see several knives under his suit, so he straightens up again aiming and aiming in your head 'Damn, I...I underestimated him'

That's what he said and so she started to follow him, soon they headed out of the alley past the man who still looked like he was in shock and fear "w-how?-"
He couldn't explain it, a simple masked guy appeared and simply killed his two friends quickly, he had no words for it more than one thing he was right...he would avenge them
As soon as the sniper had his back to him, he gripped the Katana firmly and advanced against him, but he was soon surprised when the man in the suit swung his rifle with his right hand and then tucked it under his left arm and fired a shot. , he was able to predict the bullet and just like his dead colleague he cut it easily
‘And now is my chance, he will have to recharge’ He thinks as he strides forward again

His eyes widened when he realized that the sniper was already reloaded and he immediately pointed the gun at him which soon entered his mouth, so without any emotion another shot could be heard in the alleys and now the man's head was now just several brains. scattered on the floor
As soon as he finished killing him, the sniper reloaded his weapon and stowed it on his back and turned to Eri who looked shocked at the speed at which everything happened.
"You are well?" He asked her, who while staring at the body just gulped and gave a nod, so Eri felt the masked man take her hand again and they started to head out of the alley.
"Oh, I was forgetting, what's your name, kid?" He speaks as he let go of her hand to light a cigarette
"E-Eri" She says looking down avoiding eye contact, he looks at her and takes a drag on his cigarette
“Eri, right? Nice name, come on, the heroes might end up bringing their fight to us” and so holding his hand they walked away
Eri couldn't explain why, but even after everything she witnessed about "Him" she could still feel safe by his side.
