Ancient Egypt BCE
PART I
A young man with golden skin, draped in elegant, Egyptian robes with jewelry decorating his neck, fingers, and toes lounges on his throne seat watching with a lack of interest towards the exotic dancers frolicking in his throne room before his attendant whispered to him that a traveler has offered him a gift.
With a flick of his wrist, the merriment subsided, beckoning the traveler inside with an older man being dragged behind by his wrists tied in a rope towards the powerful man.
The young man gazed enticingly with his golden irises and his lips curled in delight, allowing the traveler to leave the palace room with his limbs intact.
“Take him to my bedchamber!” ordered the young man in a booming, baritone voice.
A guard took the elder man tied up from the traveler towards the door leading out of the throne room towards the powerful man’s bedchamber while the young man waved off to his attendant to clear out the throne room as he headed to his room.
The elder man was fidgeting inside the majestic room he was thrown in before the door swung open revealing the powerful man who was eyeing him in a predatory gaze until it soften by removing the rope tied around the elder man’s wrists.
“Sorry about that. I just have to keep appearances with those humans,” said the young man who stepped back to look down at the elder man who was massaging his wrists.
The elder man didn’t reply which made the younger man continue talking, “I am known as a Byōki or cat demon. Since that traveler gave you to me, you may call be Ankh in private.”
“Yes, my lord,” responded the elder man in a raspy voice which made Ankh snap his fingers to allow a female servant to appear with a jar of water along with a glass to pour it in on top of a golden tray. Ankh poured some water into the glass, handing it to the elder man who drank with big gulps.
“Better?” inquired Ankh.
“Yes, my lord,” replied the elder man in a clearer voice.
Ankh waved off the servant before clapping his hands, inviting more servants to appear while bowing in respect to him.
“Get a bath ready for my guest and a new set of clothes, preferably beige robes,” commanded Ankh which the servants bowed in understanding before departing to complete their task.
“Why are you being nice to me?” questioned the elder man.
“Humans don’t realize that some deities such as myself favor the company of the same, persuasion,” said Ankh who peered up and down the elder man in a hungry gaze which made the elder man subconsciously cover himself up even though he had rags clothing him.
“Don’t lust after me with your eyes,” hissed the elder man in a reprimanding tone.
“Relax, I don’t get intimate until I know the person. And what should I call you, human?” smugly said Ankh who held out his hand in invitation.
“Benjamin,” replied sourly from Benjamin who reciprocated the handshake before he was yanked towards Ankh’s awaiting arms and carried bridal-style towards the bathroom.
“I can walk damn it!” shouted Benjamin in annoyance.
“Yes, I know, but I saw through your raggedy clothing that you were malnourished and underfed, plus have wounds still open that need to be treated,” smirked Ankh who held Benjamin tenderly in his arms which made the elder man melt in his stronghold.
“Thank you,” muttered Benjamin into Ankh’s chest, blushing from the affectionate display of the Byōki.
Once they arrived at the bathroom, the extravagant tub inside was bubbling over which was filled with sweet smelling oils and soap. Ankh lowered Benjamin onto a nearby stool, allowing the elder man to rip off his rags that was considered clothing and descending himself into the bubbly tub which was warm to the touch.
“Would you like company?” purred Ankh.
“Pass, my lord. I wish for some semblance of privacy if you are willing, your grace,” replied Benjamin who covered himself up again with bubbles this time.
“Suit yourself. Your clothing is right behind that curtain as well as a cloth to dry yourself off with,” shrugged Ankh who left the bathroom.
Benjamin cleaned himself, closing his blue-green eyes and now shuddering remembering how he got here, in the palace of a Byōki as now his slave but hopefully consort or concubine, maybe partner if he was fantasizing about it. Benjamin gave a sorrowful smile before he imagined Ankh and his radiant beauty.
Ankh was taller than him with golden curls framing his tanned, unblemished face and eyes that were as golden as his palace. He obviously had a broad stature with muscles to match by the way he carried Benjamin earlier.
Benjamin soon flushed how Ankh’s piercing leer spoke of desire and yearning. He was tempted to give in to the Byōki, but he wouldn’t give the demon his body like those slavers who kidnapped him from his homeland.
Benjamin finished his bath, drained the tub, and stepped out to grab the cloth behind the curtain. He stared at the beige robes and reddened that Ankh knew what color would look good on him. He dressed himself after drying himself off and left the bathroom to a Byōki whose back was turned, staring out the balcony with the Egyptian sunset in the background and his hands clasped behind his back in anticipation.
And when Ankh rotated to face Benjamin, his heart caught in his throat.
Benjamin was shorter than him with auburn hair that bordered on pure red that went down behind his ears, shaping to the contours of his freckled, paler skin tone with blue-green eyes that sparkled in the sunset along with a ginger beard to match which was unkempt at the moment but can be fixed easily by the Byōki. He’s much narrower on his stature than normal but that was due to being mistreated from the slaver(s) who brought him to Ankh, yet with care from the Byōki, he will get Benjamin better and soft in no time.
“How do I look?” asked Benjamin with pink cheeks accenting his facial features.
“Stunning…” uttered Ankh who waltzed up to the elder man, taking his callous hands in his, and caressing Benjamin’s wrists that were tied from the rope in genuine affection.
Benjamin flustered with blossoming cheeks from the compliment before turning his head away in a huff, “I bet you say that to all your bedwarmers.”
“No, you would be my first one. These humans keep trying to pair me up with their females, but I have never let anyone in my bed, not even other deities,” explained Ankh who guided Benjamin to the balcony to sit down on his elegant lounge chairs.
Benjamin became bright red because he could sense the honesty radiating off of the Byōki, but he still gave a mournful smile, “I’m damaged goods…I’ve been defiled…I…”
“I don’t care. You are the first human that has spark an interest in my long life. I hope you would be willing to give me a chance,” truthfully said by Ankh who leaned into Benjamin’s personal space.
Benjamin thought he should push away the Byōki or not indulge the demon, but this was the first time anyone has shown kindness to him since he has been taken from his home, and he was going for it.
He sealed his lips against Ankh, and it was magical.

PROLOGUE
Ankh was born to parents who were powerful Byōki already ruling Egypt. He was their only son and would take over the throne when he was of age.
Once he was of age which was about 100 years, he soon started to rule Egypt in the same way his parents before him. The humans worshipped, as well as feared Ankh, so they would always please the Byōki with various gifts and offerings.
And if those gifts and offerings weren’t pleasing to his golden eyes or up to his standard, he would transform into his Byōki form which was a cat demon about 10 feet tall with black fur and golden markings across his furred body. He would then rip the limbs off of the humans extending those gifts and offerings.
Rarely did a traveler seeking favor with the Byōki made it out of his throne room alive, until the traveler who brought an elder looking man compared to him restrained by a rope on his wrists.
Benjamin was born somewhere that would be eventually called the continent Europe. He traveled a little too close to Israelite territory and was taken as a slave which soon developed into a sexual slave due to how fair skinned he was before his last slave owner, known as Shen, utilized him for manual labor until he could no longer afford him. Thus ushering to seek favor of the Byōki in Egypt as quick payment for Benjamin.
Hopefully Shen’s offering of Benjamin would win him favor with the Byōki (i.e. keeping his limbs intact) and deserving of proper payment for his slave.

PART II
“I really should just call you ‘Bennu’, Benjamin,” said Ankh who was curled up with his naked lover underneath their sheets in their bedroom.
Benjamin snorted from where he was leaning against the headboard of their bed, “And why would you name me after a bird, Ankh?”
“Because you embody what the Bennu bird represents,” pouted Ankh.
“My kitten, you are too much sometimes,” lightly laughed by Benjamin who pressed his lips to the pouty ones of his Byōki.
Ankh hummed into the kiss before he pushed Benjamin onto his back and sunk back inside the moist heat of his human lover. All that could be heard in their extravagant bedchamber was grunts, sultry moans, and cries of pleasure until they climaxed, cuddling with one another in a tender embrace of true lovers.
Years have passed from the moment Ankh was gifted Benjamin from the traveler who the Byōki learned the name was Shen from Benjamin when the human finally divulged what transpired to him before he arrived in Egypt.
Benjamin became Ankh’s principal advisor, counseling with the Byōki when he needed to lead Egypt in a way to prosper rather than fall to calamity. He also was the Byōki’s secret lover, satisfying his carnal needs. Most times he would spend his intimacy with the Byōki on his back, but Ankh would gratify his human in the reverse when Benjamin had asked. They loved each other in secret, but were close confidants when in public.
However, all good things would come to an end even for some deity such as Ankh the Byōki.

PART III
“Anubis, you bastard!” snarled Ankh who was in his Byōki form facing against the Egyptian god on the terrace in front of Ankh’s palace.
“It is his time, Ankh,” growled the Egyptian god who held his Hekha and Nekhakha in his hands in defense against the rage of the Byōki.
“Let me keep him until I die!” roared Ankh in a fury who kept tackling the Egyptian god who easily pushed back with his Hekha and Nekhakha.
“You know I cannot do that or allow it, Ankh,” replied the Egyptian god with a much calmer tone.
Ankh knew what the Egyptian god was saying was true, he couldn’t keep his human any longer. His life on this mortal realm would soon be over. Ankh wailed as loud as he could before quieting his sobs to hush whimpers and pleaded once more to Anubis, “Give me one more moment to say goodbye.”
Anubis gave a nod in approval before Ankh departed back inside transforming back into his human form along the way. When he reached his bedroom, Benjamin was lying in their bed, sleeping fitfully for his time on Earth was soon going to end.
Ankh came up to the bed, sitting down on the edge, and gazing forlornly at the human he fell in love with. His auburn hair was now white as snow and wrinkles now cover his once beautiful youthful face, but Ankh still loved the human.
“Ankh…” muttered Benjamin in his sleep before Ankh took hold of his wrinkled hand with his and whispered, “My beautiful Bennu, my love, my Benjamin.”
Benjamin opened his glassed over eyes which used to be vibrant in shades of blue and green but have dimmed with old age, smiling up to his Byōki, “Ankh, my kitten, my Byōki.”
Ankh couldn’t bring himself to shed anymore tears for his human lover before he pressed his lips to the warm, chapped ones of Benjamin.
Benjamin murmured, “I love you, Ankh…” before he breathed his last.
Ankh trembled with wrath and sadness before he yelled in an angry, bitter stupor, “I love you too, Benjamin! Please, please, please come back to me one day…!”
Anubis came and took Benjamin away, leaving Ankh the Byōki of Egypt as he was before he met the only human he fell in love with.

EPILOGUE
Ankh was much older, on the cusp of his 9th life. He has been ruling Egypt for hundreds of years after Benjamin died and was taken away from the Egyptian god, Anubis.
He eventually bed a human female with brunette hair, the most fairest in the land of Egypt at the time, named Feme. He was given an heir, but he could care less.
He soon died and was buried in his tomb, but had wished to see Benjamin one more time.
When he went to the afterlife, his formless body sought out his human lover and when he saw the blue-green eyes that clearly belonged to Benjamin, his golden eyes wept, embracing his lost love.
To be continued…
Through a descendent of Ankh known as Anakin the Byōki.
