[Podfic] The Moon's Gonna Follow Me home by turningterrific

Summary:

From Original:
Derek doesn’t want to call the window repair guy. He doesn’t want to sweep up the glass. He’ll inevitably miss a few shards and pull them out of the bottom of his bare feet for weeks.

He doesn’t want to try to make this place feel like home when it isn’t.

Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.

He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.

And then he leaves.

From Narrator:

Music "Wood Duck" by the prolific and incredible Chad Crouch, from the album Bird Watching: Piano Preludes as found on the Free Music Archive Note- The author mentioned the title comes from Patty Griffin's Moon Song, but I chose not to include it for copyright reasons.

Podficcer's Notes:
What an endeavour! I picked this project up for Fandom Trumps Hate and decided to rocket blast myself from a few LibriVox projects to a 9-hour solo behemoth. What was I thinking?!? I couldn't begin recording until this past fall, and in the meantime I got my recording chops back up to snuff doing little Babble projects in the Drarry Discord. There are doubtless errors in this recording. Perhaps a retake didn't get edited out (before I discovered the magic of punch and roll), my acting is at times lackluster, there are inexplicable (and inexplicably) bad accents and a number of other things I could nitpick this for. BUT, it was certainly a labor of love. This story is magical and a joy to record. I laughed so much, and I hope as you listen you can hear how much I'm enjoying myself.  I should've made a blooper track of just my giggles, because I had to edit SOO MANY out. Honestly, this was just a hoot. I am so pleased to be a part of this work.

Notes:

I am fully aware this is not a perfect work. However, I welcome any comments or thoughtful notes, provided they come from a place of love. Especially if you hear an editing error, or have a request for a different file format. I am new to podficcing and still learning the ropes.
