Summary
Somehow, Buck has Eddie’s lip print on his cheek. Eddie has marked Buck as taken and his, and oh. This is what Buck wants. He can’t walk around with a hickey on his neck, no matter how much he wants to (and god does he want to). But this could scratch the itch, allow Buck to feel claimed, to feel like Eddie’s being a little possessive, while maintaining secrecy. He can wipe off the lip balm where Eddie’s lips branded him and pretend like they’re best friends and nothing more.
Honestly? It’s so hot.
or, Buck wants to be marked by Eddie so badly; Eddie obliges with lip balm, lipstick, and hickeys. They fuck about it.

“So,” Maddie says, leaning against the archway. “I’m sorry for showing up like this. I knew it’d be a surprise, but not—”
He feels hot all over. He finally, finally looks at her.
“Maddie,” he says, intending to continue, but the rest of the sentence dies in his throat. Suddenly, he’s twelve again, a little girl in Maddie’s passenger seat staring at her with wide, pleading eyes as she tells him that she’s leaving with Doug.
He sniffles, but doesn’t even feel like he’s crying.
She closes the distance, pulling him into a hug so tight that it kind of hurts. He wraps his arms around her. She’s so much smaller than him now. Isn’t that something? His big sister is tiny compared to him. He’s all grown up. Into—
“I–I don’t know if it’s still—” she says, her voice muffled against his hoodie. “Tell me what to call you.”
He wants to cry. Of course, she understands. Of course, she didn’t even blink. “Uh—E-Evan. Or Buck. Everyone calls me Buck now.”
Or: Maddie comes looking for her sister, but finds Evan Buckley, her little brother, instead.
