Chapter Text
Vanessa called their friend to come over towards that new cafe that was built a few days ago, happily sitting in a chair by the window as they waited for her friend to appear. Most of the time, they are usually late, never on time. She did wonder why, it's not like they did anything special---that sounded rude, but it was so vaguely true! Never goes out to parties, is sarcastic, and overall plain. Nothing special about her, but Vanessa adored her fellow partner in crime, even if they were a bit of a fucking loser. And certainly nothing wrong with some bonding time with a friend, or well, she attempted to avoid outings, but they wouldn't want to miss out on what Vanessa had to say. Vanessa always had a way to get things done, in many different forms.
It was fucking snowing. To think your friend had the best idea to think, oh, let's just have me, walking through the snow it meet her at some rundown cafe full of fucking crack addicts. It's almost amazing by that thought of how much Vanessa blended in with a crowd of crack addicts, she could tell you she didn't do drugs but you surely wouldn't believe her. Tugging your coat closer as if you attempted to choke yourself out with the fur bedding that danced around the hood, getting weird stares from the people that trudge through the snow. Tossing aside glares and annoying remarks, but you finally made it to that cafe.
Flicka Cafe!
Welcome, and we hope you enjoyed your stay.
You could just taste the drug addicts in this cafe; Flicka cafe, isn't that the name of some horse? Pushing aside that thought, you walked in, finding her, grinning, in a seat by the window. How charming, you thought, letting your eyes roll before plopping on the seat in front of her and taking out your laptop. Watching as Vanessa grins, her lips perking up to send you a remark.
"What brings you here?" Is she deadass? Letting your eyes narrow before sighing as your hand pressed against your face, retorting back with your own childish remark. "A continuum amount of bad choices," watching as her smirk flatten, she must know you had all types of remarks, you were a ticking bomb and she knew that letting her grin appear once more as you watched her twirl her hair happily, you almost forgot how girly she was. Watched as her brows furrowed as she thought of her next best words as she mentally prepared herself for your next sarcastic remark, now you had sweat drenching your neat as you waited, not so very patient as you waited a lot longer than you needed to but then she spoke.
"You are looking for a job, correct?" She asked, watching as her fingers pressed together, it was a simple thing, something she did when she was nervous, but--you stayed silent, giving her a simple nod, waiting for her next response. Lips pressed, you could basically see the veins popping out of her as she thought, was a screw going to fall out of her brain next? Almost choking back a chuckle at that thought, you held your face natural, watching, waiting. Then she spoke, letting that nerve-racking sentence fill your ears....with much disappointment.
"They are looking for someone to watch the daycare at night. Like a security guard?..” She must be taking fat shit on you if she thinks you'll work in a daycare, full of demon spawns. You would rather drive off a cliff but held your thoughts back as she began speaking once more, watching the way her body shifted, her eyes narrowing with slight hope...you might as well give it a try, for her. it's the best you could do, at least visit it and see how you like it.
"You could always say no! I'm not forcing you-" You interrupted her.
"I'll see if I like it alright?" Her eyes lit up; she always dreamt of working with a friend. This made her extremely happy as you placed your laptop back in, motioning for her to lead the way. A car! You didn't need to fight the tortures of walking through this snow, taking a seat in the car as Vanessa got in, you grabbed your seatbelt and tightened that thing till you felt secure enough.
"Why is your seatbelt so tight?" You blinked before answering.
"I've seen you ride a bike, I would like to at least live throughout this car ride." Watching her glare as a grin appeared on your face, and you held on for dear life. This woman could not drive! Whoever handed her a license was either drunk or wanted to fuck her. There is no explanation on how she drives like this. This is how you will die, but you aren't committed to dying yet, you haven't written your will to your dog, Peaches. You were gripping the door for dear life, counting your seconds of life as she slammed the brake into a fucking parking spot--what the fuck. Is that heaven? No--no, wait, you're in hell, you're still alive. Snapping your head at her, glaring at her hard as if you wanted to drag her by your teeth.
"Are you alright over there?" Staring at hard, pressed lips as you made a crude comment.
"If your driving doesn't kill you, then my disappointment might." Crawling out of that hell of a car ride, hands-on knees as you prayed in Italian. You were so thankful to have your feet planted against the ground, you could almost start making out with it. Letting her hand slap right on her back as she grinned down at you, was she trying to kill you or something? You snarled at her like some rapid animal before looking up at the sign.
"Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex"
That name rings a bell. You have heard something like that before. Something that burned down, and maybe something with a bite in it? You couldn't exactly think of the name at the moment, but you'd rather not, looking at Vanessa with a glare.
"Is this a strip club?" You asked, gaining a look of disgust from Vanessa as she responded back with a tad bit of spunk.
"I don't recall strip clubs having daycares!" Slapping the back of your head as you mumbled something under your breath, 'whatever floats someones boat' before dragging you inside, didn't you have to pay to be in this off-brand strip club--whatever you were dead broke anyways. The best you could give them was a dead fly in your pocket. And then, the screaming of children reached your ears, demons. You could not do this--not today, not the next day, but here you are--being dragged into some daycare like you are a toddler.
"Vanessa, would you like for me to call you mommy? You are bringing me to a daycare-" And another rough smack hit the back of your head, groaning at her violence. You didn't even say anything wrong! She was just being a bully at this point, rubbing your nose as you snorted at your thoughts. Then you made it towards the top part of the daycare, rubbing your red ear as Vanessa finally let go of you, "gorilla ass fucking grip" you grumbled as you followed behind her, looking at the statues she pointed at them.
"So the sun is Sunrise, while the moon is Moon." Those are creative, you should give them a reward for being the most fucking dumb people on this planet, but you held your tongue, nodding as she pulled you towards the net cage.
"Looks like a prison, time for me to go home-" Watching as she shook her head, listing off things you really didn't care about before dragging you towards the slide.
"Slide Into Fun!"
More like 'slide into-'
And before you knew it, you were down in the fucking daycare--demons they are everyone. Children, running around laughing and giggling. Vanessa once again grabbed you by the ear--why the ear before dragging you towards the sun, or well Sunrise.
"Omg! Omg! Vanessa!!!!! You brought me a new friend!" Watching as Sunrise giggled before you say something rude, and unneeded.
"You look like something I would draw with my left hand." Sunrise blinked or well, stared---whatever he was doing made you feel uncomfortable before he moved closer towards you; this jester-clown thing was really going to have you in tears!
"Vanessa!!! I don't like how mean they are, no, no, no! No bad kids here!~" As he twirled around, you watched him carefully before he started speaking.
"I really like, I like you lots! Do you like me?!" He started dancing around, even more, the bells jingling around with him as you stared, watching him step into your personal space, the never-ending grin that made you shiver-- "cause I sure like you..so much! We will have so much fun together!" The more he talked, the more ounces of sanity you lost--he was annoying and he never stopped moving. This was going to give you a headache,
"Right..." You answered, awkwardly as your lips pressed together roughly before he snatched your hands into his--you could literally feel the thing non-stop moving from just his hands, "Pretty please, pretty please!" Was he pleading? He sounded just like a toddler, would he have a tantrum if you said no-- "we could dooooo so much! Sleepovers! Yes, sleepovers are so fun!" Doesn't that sound so stellar, snatching your hands back, letting them rest against your sides as they both watched you, waiting for your response, was this some type of peer pressure because that shit was actually working.
Fuck it.
"Fine..." That fine was extremely slow, maybe, if Vanessa truly cared she would sense that was a no--or she was fucking stupid or an asshole, or maybe both-
Sunrise giggled once more, grabbing her hands as he happily hopped around, talking about fun, googly eyes, glitter! And, sleepovers! If there was a god out there, you would hope you would get rejected.
"Accepted!"
...wonderful, the words you have been dreading from the very beginning. Of course, the world was against you. What isn't against you--and you start tonight--on how many levels of torture do you need to endure. It's like--no thoughts, just annoyance and a strong will to grab Vanessa's spleen out through her mouth. You are counting your seconds every day--let's hope Vanessa's driving kills you this time. Everyone must love you if they wanted to torture you that bad--maybe someone should eat you or something.
"Where are you going?!" Vanessa called out as you began walking out of the daycare, looking over your shoulder, pulling back your lips to give your nice remark. "Wherever you aren't!" Watching her face fall into a frown, you liked that look on her face from the torture she made you grow through today, you needed to go home and sleep.
You liked sleeping, it's like death, but without the commitment and you never committed to things. Like ever.
Sleep was so inviting, you were having the best dream before you felt someone touch you and ask "Are you sleeping?"
"No, I'm just laying here, snoring- of course, I'm fucking-"
Another smack.
There goes another dump of brain cells you wanted, sitting up as you rubbed the back of your head, hardening your glare as you stared at Vanessa, shoving the uniform right in your face---telling you to put it on like an impatient child. Maybe she should be at daycare--like the little bitch she was, shifting uncomfortably as you went, and took a shower before throwing on your uniform, staring at your reflection. You tried to fix the way your uniform fitted onto your body as you were quite insecure about how your body was presented in something like this, letting your brows furrow as you stared a bit longer.
Why did you look so weird? Maybe it was the new attire or the new feeling of being satisfied with yourself—you felt out of your body. Maybe even proud or how successful you felt to finally be working once again, you fell deep a while ago. Losing your mother took a toll on your life, you hated everything and everyone…Vanessa did help—she was the light to the darkness you were in for a long time. You never truly understood why—why you were so hurt, alone…but at least you had someone at least pulling you further from the grave you dug yourself. Looking at the cute Sun & Moon pin on your uniform made you smile softly but then your face turned into an annoyance, as if God loved you— then you hoped that Sunrise was not going to bother or try to have a sleepover with you.
You never realized how long you took in the restroom, you finished before taking a step outside the bathroom, your hands touching your hips with a swing and a grin.
“Oh, I was hoping you drowned,” Vanessa smirked as you raised a soft eyebrow at her attitude before brushing past her, winking.
“Don’t sound so disappointed, I might think you don’t like me.” Watching as she chuckled before following up behind you, watching her turn on her car. Might as well pray—this time you were prepared. Hand on the door, ready to snap it open, if she decides to take you both on a road trip off a cliff—why can’t she drive without speeding?!?! You were hanging on a thread—how does she do this without wanting to vomit; you were so close to swallowing that vomit back down your throat if it threatened to come.
Please god, help me.
Shutting your eyes tight as you guys whipped around in her car, did you hit something? Please don’t say you hit something? Please just be her horrid parking—opening your eye just a peek. It was just her bad parking—maybe the stars were with you! Basically crawling out of the car as the feeling in your legs was just jello, they were going to give out any second—unless you vomited first.
”I hate you.” You gagged out, Vanessa slamming her door with a grin.
“Why? I’m lovely!” Cranking your head slowly, the vomit dancing in your stomach said otherwise. “Your mother must have lied to you.” As you gagged again, this was your fault, you should have walked to work. What did you gain from risking your life with this absurd driver? Nothing, you gained nothing. Maybe shit in your underwear and vomit on your clothes, swallowing hard and watching as your sweat hits the snow. Your sweaty palms pressed against your jeans before sitting up, your body relaxing for a moment as you looked back at her. Annoyance dancing on your face before shoving past her—you just wanted to close your eyes and sleep.
“Now it’s a creepy strip club-“ you mumbled, looking around at the empty pizzaplex. Vanessa off to do her own thing as you made your way back to hell. Fun, slipping into the daycare quietly, lips pressed together as you leaned back into the comfortable chair, your cold arm draping over your face as you closed your eyes. But your eyes snapped open for a moment, hearing some weird noise? Was something running at you?
“You’re here!!! I misssed you sooooo much!! Did you miss me?!?!?” Sunrise gleamed happily, jumping onto the counter to bounce around.
“No.” Mumbling into your arm as you heard him gasp—like the most dramatic gasp an animatronic could make as he moaned and groaned as you moped in fake pain, you lifted your arm off your eyes as you stared at him.
“Will I get bonus points if I pretend to care?” You asked, legs crossing roughly as your head tilted. Watching the confusion mess on his face; you loved fucking with people—this animatronic showed a lot more emotion then you expected.
”I could give you a gold star! Yes a gold, goldstar, yesagoldstar!” As he shoved one right in your face—was he serious? Your fingers grabbed the golden star-shaped sticker off your face as your gaze narrowed in annoyance, turning the chair you sat in around, only a few more hours of this torture, right?
”Don’t look away! We can’t play like that, look at me!!!! Please look at me, I’ll cry if you don’t.” He grumbled before you made a comment—he started fake crying, who was he trying to fool, by crying like that—turning around to look at him, your eyes narrowing for another moment before speaking.
”Will you shut up if I looked at you?” It was silent for a moment until he started shaking his head with uncomfortable nodding. Grumbling as you stared at him, he still moved a lot, but he didn’t speak. You felt awkward just staring and not saying anything, really…your lips pressing together as you both sat in silence. Letting your nails dig into your palms as you hummed something to yourself, he just never stopped looking at you. The feeling just made you feel embarrassed; you hated that.
The lights just shut off.
Blinking as you shot up in some random confusion before looking at Sunrise as he began screaming about—breaking rules and something about the lights.
“Sunny?” You called out, his eyes snapping towards you as he grabbed his head, screaming more. “Sunny! Are you okay??!” You were worried, and you were never worried about anything. Your body trembled—you were scared—what was wrong with him. You watched as his eye twitched before falling back as you reached out to try to grab him, slipping right past your fingers. Scrambling towards the desk to look over, nothing was there?
Where the hell did Sunrise go? Your hands pressed onto the desk harder to get a better view—but what you didn’t notice was that Moon was propped on the other side of the desk—sitting and watching your every move. His grin was widening—if it could.
You were really worried, lips pressed together as you called for Sunrise once more. “Sunny! Please come out, I’ll talk to you, you’re scaring me!” You stepped back up, bringing your nail to your mouth as you chewed. You were anxious and on top of that you were worried, looking around—but something caught your eye, turning to look at it, but then nothing was there.
”Oh..fuck me.” Now your eyes are playing tricks on you as you lose a fucking animatronic—how do you fuck up the first day—or we’ll night on the job. You just sat there for like 20 minutes, you groaned.
”Sunrise, Sunny, Sunshine…honey. Please come out, I don’t wanna play anymore.” Moon perked his head to the side, watching your body twitch in either annoyance or disappointment. You kept calling for Sunrise, calling him cute names, hoping he would come out and stop messing with you.
You don’t really enjoy this, sitting in your chair as your fingers press the skin on your forehead. Letting your gaze shift around until your eyes stopped on something—were those red fucking eyes?!? Did Vanessa forget to tell you there were demons in this place before something landed right in front of you, falling right out of the chair and landing on your ass.
”Ow—“ groaning as your hand-rubbed your ass before looking— wonderful. That was Moon correct? Yeah, right, you pressed your lips together before asking-
“Moon…um have you seen Sunny around?” You watched as he didn’t move, he didn’t move as much as Sunrise did, and was 100% creepier than Sunrise was. You might piss yourself off if he keeps staring.
He didn’t say anything. It was quiet.
