Luo Binghe fingered his sword. These mentions of strange portals appearing were worrisome. So far nobody had gotten lost in them, but every moment could be the first. Xin Mo was living proof of the danger portals could pose in the right hands and he did not like the idea of any enemies of his getting their hands on a way to make them.
"Worry not," he ensured Wei Anyue with a charming smile. "This Lord will look into the matter."
Though his wife lost her anxious posture, she still carried some tension in her shoulders. Luckily he knew very well how to deal with that.

Luo Binghe froze at the touch of his Shizun's hand on his back.
His instinct demanded he throw this man off him, to take out this terrible threat, but he couldn't move. And yet, instead of the expected pain, the man's touch was light, obviously taking great care not to aggravate his wounds.
A warm and continuous stream of spiritual energy suffused his body, spreading out from where the man's hand had started to unconsciously rub up and down, almost as if attempting to soothe him.
What on earth was going on?

This man, this almost-Shen Qingqiu, did not become furious at Luo Binghe's audacity to call for him. Instead, his demeanour softened even further, tilting his head slightly and gazing at him with warm eyes. The man gave a questioning hum.
He looked as if he were willing to bow to any of Luo Binghe's whims. As if he adored him so much he was willing to mould himself in any shape that Luo Binghe wished he would take. Like he cared .
Luo Binghe had to look away from the sight -- it was like he was staring at the sun itself.

The way you described Luo Binghe reacting to AU!Shen Qingqiu is almost exactly the same as the way you described his reaction to the wife of the Pale Moon Arc, Chapter 3425 to be specific. Is it really that hard to come up with another turn of phrase, or are you just that lazy?

Luo Binghe made his way through Shen Qingqiu's chaotic mind. His dreams were almost as convoluted and twisty as the man itself was, making strange connections between seemingly unrelated events without any clear thread to follow.
One thing was clear though: Luo Binghe's counterpart always featured front and centre in the man's mind.
Though Luo Binghe meant to examine the differences between past events, he found himself caught up in watching his other-self. He was a pitiful thing, Luo Binghe decided. Crying at the slightest whim, always bowing to his Shizun's demands, did he even have a spine?
Luo Binge thought he understood now. The reason why this Shen Qingqiu wasn't constantly being taken advantage of by this imposter, was because this Binghe was just as weak as his Shizun. Because they were both so willing to be what the other needed, in the end, neither was misused or sucked dry. Or perhaps both were, Binghe didn't know.

Luo Binghe collapsed to the ground after many days of endlessly throwing his energy at the barrier, his muscles aching in a way they hadn't in... years, probably. Still, there was not even a single scratch to show for his efforts.
For one brief moment, he fell into despair. He wanted, no, he had to get back there. Back to that Shizun's gentle hands, his kind eyes and his patient demeanour. Back to the Shizun that actually had a heart, one that had somehow, miraculously made room for a pathetic interpretation of him.
He wanted to have a place in his heart in a way he hadn't wanted anything, ever. And yet, for all his fury and rage and despair, the barrier had not budged even a little bit.
He refused to admit he could have been bested. He would tear his palace apart, clean out his treasury, interrogate his countless subjects. There must be a way back, he simply hadn't found it yet.
And then, if this world somehow, impossibly stayed out of his reach -- no matter how much he refused to accept the very notion -- surely there were other worlds out there than just the two he had seen? And that kind Shizun of his, was he the exception that proved the rule, or perhaps...
Luo Binghe looked at the night sky, the shining moon filling his eyes with a cold light. A cold breeze ruffled his hair.
"Shizun..." Luo Binghe said softly. "If there is any world out there where you have room for me... I will find it, even if it's the last thing I do."
