Chapter Text
Making deals with the entity was never a good idea but when you are the favourite it couldn't be too bad, could it?
And that's exactly what our Ghostface did. One day Danny was bored more than anything. The Saloon was not fun as it always was anymore, he was getting tired of his killer clothes and the atmosphere was just all over the place when it came to the other killers. Danny wasn't sure why, it was probably something to do with the boon totems. Ever since that horrible day, when Mikaela Reid joined the fog, everything went downhill.
Danny wanted something interesting again, not the same old routine he always did, and the fact that the entity refused to let him get stronger as his fellow killers got few new changes, bothered him.
He had enough, and walked out of the many realms he was currently visiting. Taking a deep breath he started to walk through the thick fog. Everytime any of the killers wanted to go to a different realm, the fog would slowly lead them to the correct direction but Danny didn't want any of that. He wanted something new, something exciting.
So instead of thinking about a realm he thought about a deal or a wish. Anything that would break this monotone chore.
Suddenly as if the entity listened to him, he started to feel something. His lefts started to give out as he fell on his knees. Letting out a groan he took off his mask. His bright red hair fell into his face as he looked around. "Come on, I know you can do better than this." Danny said out loud.
And just like that, Danny felt his eyelids getting heavy and slowly fell asleep. His body falling on the ground completely, the mask still in his hand as the fog got thicker around him. His body disappeared as if it was never there.
"When is he going to wake up?"
"It usually doesn't take this long."
"He is really pretty, though."
"Shh, don't say that!"
Danny started hearing voices as he came back to his senses. Groaning, he slowly opened his eyes. His head was laying on a side, so in front of him was a campfire. Around him seem to be shapes of people. Wait, campfire?
He sat up in fast motion and properly looked around in slight panic. Some of the people around him flinched or made a noise of surprise. In a few seconds, Danny felt a hand on his shoulder. When he turned towards the owner of it, it was surely a surprise.
"Hey… hey there. Everything is alright, you don't need to worry." The man said and Danny easily recognised him. "My name is Dwight. What about you?" It was obvious that he was trying to start some sort of conversation. Danny resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Wait… did it mean that?
Looking down at his arms, Danny noticed he was not wearing his usual Ghostface clothing that he got used to for the time he was here stuck in the void or whatever you call this entity place. He was instead wearing a red coat with white lacing. Standing up without giving Dwight an answer, he out hand in his hair and also noticed his glasses. His red hair almost matching the color of his coat. Under it he wore a brown turtleneck and darker pants. An outfit he liked to wear when he was a newspaper reporter. Does that mean he is a survivor now? That surely can be fun.
"Maybe he doesn't speak English…" A voice said. Danny looked back at the group of people. It was Jake who spoke. Danny sighed. If he doesn't want to blow his whole cover, he's going to need to act like he doesn't know what's going on.
"Uh, sorry. I'm Jed. Jed Olsen…" He said, trying to act out his shy persona that he always did as a reporter. It made people trust him more for some reason.
Claudette smiled at him and went to shake his hand. Her smile was warm and genuine. "I'm Claudette, hello." She said and soon after that, other survivors who were around him, introduced. Unfortunately neither Steve or Leon made their appearances yet, which disappointed Danny a little.
After their small introduction, Dwight mainly explained the situation, that Jed was taken by an entity and he now needs to go through trials and bla bla bla. Danny knew all of this already, he mostly just zoned out during it. However, David said something that made Danny think.
"And also we have abilities, I know that sounds dumb but trust me. All of us have something special they are good at. I'm sure you will find something soon too." The man said and Danny nodded. That was certainly interesting, he knew about perks, that's how he and other killers called it at least. Is he going to have perks too now? Or is he going to keep the ones that he has as a Ghostface… He wasn't sure.
"They are often connected to things you used to do in your past life. Like Claudette here, she's amazing at healing people!" Kate exclaimed and Claudette smiled, shrugging like it was no big deal.
"What did you do in your life?" Feng asked. She was sitting by the fire on a log, most of the survivors already went to do their things and it was mostly just the girls and David with Jake who stayed. Danny shrugged and went to sit next to Feng. He can tell some things about himself right? Technically there was no survivor that is from the same place as him, meaning he can leave out the details about him being the Ghostface.
"I.. I was a reporter for a newspaper. I am not sure how useful that can be." Danny said, looking down at his hands to show he wasn't that comfortable around them yet. Which was a complete lie but they didn't need to know that.
Before any of the survivors around the fire could say anything, a man's voice shouted angrily. "Oh god, another one! Don't tell me another fucking killer is joining him!" It was Ace.
He walked towards the fire and Danny resisted the urge to smirk. Instead he looked at him scared, which worked in his favour because Meg crossed her arms and stood up. "Ace, stop being rude. This poor guy just woke up, he barely has any idea what's happening."
Dwight was the next one who spoke up, next to Danny. "Maybe they arrived alone…" The man suggested and Danny decided to be quiet. Seeing them in chaos was more entertaining than calming the situation.
Ace huffed, not clearly happy with Danny at all but he nodded and walked away again. Little did they know, the killer is already sitting between them.
After that, the conversation turned mostly towards the survivors, and telling Danny everything about them. They really enjoyed a new person and tried to convince him how good they are in comparison to their teammates. Danny couldn't help but laugh. These idiots were so pathetic, and he gladly listened to them, making a mental note of every weakness they showed. This was probably one of the best ideas the Entity ever had.
